Babcock said before the series that the Wings WILL NOT be retaliating against provocative hits or strikes by the Ducks.  They will be baiting the least responsible team into penalties and attempt to beat them down on the scoreboard instead.

It was no surprise to me then when no one decided to go after Brown or to retaliate afterward against someone else on the Ducks.

I much rather have the 3-2 win than brag about someone beating the garbage out of a Duck.

Team mates have to stick up for each other period. Your buddy is bleeding and nobody does a thing. Sure you scored on the PP but you have to have each others backs. No way if Kocur or Bobby Probert were on this team they would let that happen.Team toughness isn't always about fighting sometimes even the smallest guy on the ice going after Brown  means a lot to a team mate.

I agree and McCarty has to be in for Kopecky. Kopecky is useless imo.

Not to happy no one jumped in after that hit.

LOL 1.5-2.0 Seconds after the puck was released.  Thats a solid open Ice hit.  Red Wings are just not used to this kinda aggression.  lol 11 fights this season and Ducks have 82.  This is Hockey baby what a hit.  Dont dick around with the puck in open ice!

The NHL was once a mans league and hockey was once a mans sport - but today it's becoming more and more of a predictably soft box league. This Canadian boy misses those great hits from real men - Scott Stevens, Rick Tocchet, Wendel Clark etc. These guys would obliterate anyone who had the nerve to go across the middle of the ice and-or not keep your own head up anywhere on the ice. All these above mentioned men going into the Hall Of Fame of course. None of the again above mentioned men and most they played with would have been able to play their game in this new league.
 
Hockey is now Soccer on skates to please a wider global audience while forgetting it`s original fan base.
 
If there was a penalty to be called it was on the Wings for goalie interference after the bullshit pp goal when Hiller was run right over...
 
If you consider Brown`s hit last night a suspendeable offense or better yet even a penalty at all, then Scott Stevens great and famous open ice hit on Lindros in the playoffs some years back should have been a 30 game suspension minimum instead of the no call and great and famous hit that it was.
