If Sharks lose game 6, there won't be any bet on game 7 since their is no need to hedge.

Right, so might as well throw that money on Sharks Game Six than make all those funky bets for 2325 profit.  Put the 3100 on the Sharks -1 or ML.

So this bet would be 1550 to win 1150 basically on game 6. This is basically -135 in game 6. You can get better than 135 right now and wouldn't require the hedging you are recommending. 

Less profit and more work? No thanks.

He's being too fancy.  Would only work if Sharks were massive favs tomorrow.  Then again, you wouldn't get a +300 of that was the case.

Just bet the Sharks tomorrow.

Right. He's using price manipulation in a situation that doesn't warrant it.

Would only work in a non-elimination spot.  Like after Game Four where the Sharks could lose and not go out.  But then again, you're not getting +300 after Game Four.

You boys are right 

Game 6 Sharks -135 1550/1150

Then you bet Sharks game 7 at +135 1150/1550

Gives you a total profit of 2700 which would more than the hedge game 7 bet which would net you only 2325.

Too much alcohol and late at night is not the time to be doing math

To the others who offered their explanation and/or sound advice, appreciate it, though I didn't expect such a fickin' commotion over a simple question. Always one bad apple in the bunch and it's normally one of a continuous group of about three or four who love to stir up shet & cause trouble!
