Hello everyone, been a while since i've said anything on covers, but been on the site from time to time. Tonight i know the canadiens will play a strong game and i think this is the perfect spot for them vs a Detroit team that rule at home, but yet play average hockey on the road. Now let's look at the teams latest games..... Montreal: following a 3-8-0 start under interim coach Randy Cunneyworth, the canadiens are 2-1-2 in their last five and showing signs that it's finaly starting to click between the players and Randy's plan for them. Detroit: are on a 7 game winning streak and they are on an incredible 17 game winning streak at home and going 8-2 in their last 10 contests overall.
Here is the thing, when you look at how those 2 teams played the season so far and at their stats, even every dummie out there would say detroit will destroy the poor little habs. Yet when you look deeper into it, it seems the perfect night for the habs to win and win big. The players know how big the game is and also detroit's stats on the road will prove that..........the red wings are 13-13 on the road this year and an incredible 20-2-1 at home, wow, they are 5-5 in their last 10 on the road, with losses to calgary, toronto and the mighty islanders. On those 10 road games they have 1 win that is by more then 1 goal and 3 of the 5 wins went to ot or shootout. Clearly the almost perfect wings at home are not the same team on the road and the habs know that tonight they might have the chance to turn this disgusting season around with a big win here. Also 3 of detroit's last 5 losses on the road finish over the number and the other 2 finished with 5 goals and bot in regulation, so if playing the habs the over seems a very good idea. I am not going to lie here, but i'm a huge habs fan, but that has nothing to do with choosing them here, if you look deeper into stats and combine that with how the players feel or tend to, you might get a better picture of the outcome!!! Good luck to everyone and let's all have a great all star weekend
