The Giroux hit was was to Zubrus's head. CG had just got done whining to the refs for a non-call and then had NO INTENTION of playing the puck and intentionally went for his head.
I guess if a player doesnt lay on the ice for 5 minutes and skates away, it only deserves a 2 minute penalty and nothing further? I respect CG's play, just thought it was a cheap shot probably out of frustration. he didnt seem to leave his feet, so I will give him that.

Cheap? Yes but nothing different that what Malkin consistently did against the flyers and received no disciplinary action for, Grossman hit for one....

The NHL will look at it, and I will say the hit was questionable, but I doubt Giroux gets suspended. There seems to be different standards by which players are suspended. At worst, he'll get a fine. I also suspect Ed Snider will use some of his clout with the NHL to get the minimum. One phone call to Bettman crying about how if Giroux gets a suspension, it'll kill any chance they have of winning the series.

ALL teams fans whine and make excuses when they LOSE. we Pennies fans have voiced ours. I'm now watiting to see what Flyers fans come up with after the Devils embarrass them WORSE than they did our Pens.
btw, I can't BELIEVE the Flyers are a -140 to -150 fav tomarrow the way this series has gone so far.

if giroux is out, only way devils would lose seems if they have a letdown but thats just not what i would expect at this stage from that team.
people have been expecting flyers to show up since they were dominated in game 2. it hasnt really happened.
so i dont think the "they will come out flying in front of fans in a must win game" statement holds much value.
either way i think devils is the way to go.
bryz has now allowed 3 goals in 9 of 10 games! he has been better this series but combo of him not being sharp and the guys in front of him is certainly not helping

Another cockroach emerges from behind the drywall as the NHL season winds down. Cheapshot my fucking ass! Dude you had better get glasses if you think that was a cheapshot by Giroux and if you already wear them, then have your fucking eyes examined!

Who exactly is this comment towards? You dont think it was a cheap shot? You amuse me with the comment "emerges from behind the drywall".
Multiple respected cappers on this site, that are Flyer fans, even agree it was a cheap shot. Whats the excuse you are going to use? That he was trying to play the puck? He didnt know his head was there?
I am not sure if it was a "suspendable hit", but I am shedding no tears that Flyers will be without CG for the next game.......
