Did not think I would see any posts like this right after they announced Thomas Greiss is starting and not Nabokov and that Setoguchi is out for the game.......Greiss is the real deal and they have lots of other scorers......Too many people will be excited that Griess is starting and run to take Nashville and they will be led astray IMO.....
I totally agree with you. Also, I really don't look at the goalie. Obviously I hope that the better goalie is in net, but when I pick a game, I do it the night before and I lock it in regardless of any changes. I feel that it is always best to go with your first instinct. I just hope that my first instinct in this case is a WINNER!!!!!!

Nashville is really, really fired up for this game since they think they should have won the game in SJ. Besides that Preds are playing their best hockey of the season right now, and finally are all healthy. Also you cant deny Greiss is only a backup goalie, and while he is capable of having good games, SJ has more chances to win with Nabokov. So, situationally it seems like its the Preds are the play. But the horrible h2h tells some other story. So it depends on how you want to approach the capping

San Jose is also pissed off after giving up 2 goal leads. They will come out strong and get some pucks in the net quick to give some offense to their back up goal tender. Once they get the 3 quick goals in the first period (doesn't hurt to hope), they will play defense and get Greiss is 3rd win of the season

NBA is killing me so bad I am turning to Hockey. Since I don't watch hockey and still don't understand icing, I am only going to ride the coattails of one of you lucky covers brothers.

Let me start by saying if you have that much on the game I hope SJ wins but I think I will be on Preds, not because of who is out or who is in nets. The Preds have played Sharks tough L10 and are playing better of late, especailly at home. Also I am seeing 70% on Sharks and line is staying put? Take a look on Ice Picks Thread and see how many are on Sharks it is scary. I will be on Preds but for just a unit so I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks for the luck. I understand what you are saying and trust me, the fact that almost everyone is on the Sharks scares me as well. However, as for the line staying put, I think that it is only staying put because of the fact that Nabakov is not in net tonight and that Rinne has been playing well as well.
I have noticed thought that when the Sharks didn't put in a great game the game prior to their current game, they almost always seem to come out extremely strong. I hope that this is the case tonight.

best of luck....but i would never put large coin on a team with a back up goalie in net...whether he is good or not the fact is backups do not play regular hockey and have no rhythm and arent in form. big factors

Hmmmm...Either way the word sucks so does what seems like an attempt at ill will or was it you were just having a little fun and being sarchastic? ...Curious.......

not to jinx you but who is greiss??? did you see how the sharks had a 2 goal lead in the 3rd period against the stars and loss. this team doesn't play "D"!!! preds are the hottest team right now. i see a 5-1 preds game.

on the sharks as well. they are the better team. they need to start playing like it. its some 1s job to stop the puck from going in the net. i think they need to inprove that part of there game and they will be ok.
