Another awesome night Friday going 4-1 winning 7.15 units. Won 4 out of 5 overtime picks all at +300 the last two nights.
Montreal +139
- Atlanta embarked on a Canadian road trip only to come up pointless.
On December 5th, the Thrashers won in a shootout @ Florida. On December
7th, they made a long trip to Canada and lost in Toronto. Two nights
later on December 9th, they were across the country again where they
lost in Calgary and Vancouver on consecutive nights. Talk about a rough
schedule. They host Montreal tonight before having to travel to NY for
Monday's game. To top it off, this Wednesday they are back in the
sunshine state for a game @ Florida. This is an absolutely brutal
schedule. This will be the third meeting this year with each team
picking up a victory. Both were
tight games decided by a lone goal. Montreal has the better results in
the most recent games, picking up a win in 3 of their last 4 games. In
their last 5 games, opponents are 0 for 25 on the power play against
the Canadiens. Great odds against what I feel is a deflated, tired
Thrasher team.
Boston -124
- The Bruins are gaining some confidence picking up a point in all but
one of their last 10 games which saw the Bruins average 3.4 goals while
allowing only 2.1. They won 8 of those. Meanwhile the Islanders have
looked very weak in their last 5 other than a 4:1 victory at Atlanta.
They lost 6:1 @ New Jersey, 4:0 @ Tampa, 6:2 @ Philadelphia, and 3:2 @
Toronto. Opponents are averaging 4 goals against while the Islanders
are averaging 1.80 goals for. The Islanders have managed to kill only
10 of the last 18 power plays against them. All of these things point
to a likely Boston victory despite the Islanders being a tough nut to
crack sometimes.
Phoenix +121
- San Jose lost a tough one to the Stars last night, dropping their 4th
straight at home. Dallas pounded Nabokov with 44 shots but managed only
2 goals. Phoenix lost their most recent game, but before that they
quietly (as they usually do) won 5 in a row over some capable teams.
The Coyotes collectively have allowed only 1.40 goals in their last 5
games. San Jose has had their share of problems with the Coyotes
recently as they've been somewhat of a bogey team for them dropping 6
of the last 10 meetings including a 1:0 shootout loss early this
season. The Sharks have been a great road team but the Coyotes looks
like a strong pick considering the circumstances.

ast one for today:
Los Angeles -124
- Dallas played a strong game last night in San Jose picking up the
victory in a long shootout. They had 44 shots on goal, converting 1 of
5 power plays. Before this win Dallas had lost 3 in a row on the road.
The Kings are playing some fantastic hockey lately notching 6 wins in
their last 7 games, averaging 3.71 goals for during the stretch. The
previous meetings this year have been Kings victories but both games
were in October. On the 19th the Kings won in Dallas 4:1 and 3 nights
after that they won 5:4 in overtime in a game which saw the Stars
rallied from 3 goals down. Tonight is a similar situational spot for
the Kings as Dallas won in San Jose last night much like they did in
Anaheim on 10/21 before falling to the Kings the next night. The Stars
have not fared well on no rest. In those 4 games they have lost 3
times, the lone victory a 4:3 overtime win at home against the
Lightning. This is an extremely important game for the Kings as 7 of
their next 9 games will be on the road against quality teams.
