man, i think we had this thread earlier this season about Brodeur ... and once again i will agree with this comment ... he may not "suck" but his years are definately over ... and he ain't getting better eaither, that's for sure

Canada controlled play for a good portion of the game I will say that, but it wasn't all on Brodeur. 45 shots on net yes but, over half of those shots Ryan Miller will stop in his sleep.  It was great defense all night for the US.  They blocked shots, they created turnovers, and really smothered the passing lanes.  Bottom line is they wanted it more!!!!! Canada better get physical and screen the front of the net if they want to score an any goalie not just Miller.  I see them losing to the Russians personally.

nj has had a tremendous defensive core- even burke and terreri were excellent or so it seemed - lemaire bought in the trap - and it was the system and defence that did well not marty.
terrreri was outstanding in his day and i would bet he would get the same praise as marty has in his career, if he was the starter.
marty would absolutely reek playing in florida or tampa bay.
this game was marty's fault. babcock and his coaching 2nd.
if babcock complained so much about the goalie then why didn't he pull him after that stupid fucking baseball trick that marty pulled on the 2nd goal.
complete horseshit. let's face facts if miller was in for canada and brodeur for the states it would have been 10-1 canada. no joke
CANADA IS DONE IF THEY PLAY THAT MEATHEAD FROM NJ The game has passed him by...I`am so tried of people talking about marty that he is some god...He was bad last year in the stanley cup playoffs...Last night i knew canada going to lose because of goaltending bottom line...babcock needs to wake the fu*k up and play MR.LUONGO..GOALTENDING WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS AT ALL LEVELS.

He should be playing Fleury if you believe Marty isn't the guy.

Luongo is a choke artist....Marty is old and he can't handle the pucks in his feet due to too many Delissio Pizzas.

I don't even like Fleury but hes clearly the best choice....big game goalie.
