Do I blame Blackwood? Yes absolutely. 3 goals in the third period allowed is terrible. He had some saves earlier in the game, but he looked poor the whole game in my opinion. Obviously the key mistake was Girard somehow allowing the equalizer to conveniently bounce off his skate when he could have closed the gap to the goal.
Do I blame the Avs coaching staff? Yes, also. Wedgewood was playing fine, and would have been the better option. Blackwood looks confused and is slower to react and cover the net than almost anyone I've seen.
