Don't expect too much traffic in here during the off-season. But a lot is happening at this moment. What to think of the Kraken's selections? I think they have 2 solid, young net minders, better than most teams in the league as far as 1 and 2. Thought the move to obtain Giordano was wise, not for the production on the ice but what he can do with leadership. First line will be decent but after that...and they open up in Vegas of all places. Haven't looked at the schedule they put out today yet.
Uh, BEWARE of the Blue Shirts next year. Still think they are missing blue liners to carry them deep into the playoffs. Goodrow is a good addition. Those young goalies need to grow up and they will make noise.
Tone and PB, good bye Ghost but hello Ellis...I will take that switch, but they still need a couple of more D men imo. Shea Weber done? And WHAT IN THE HELL are the Canes thinking? Reuniting the Wing goalies of Reimer and Bernier? I thought Ned was the future in net for the Canes. Stunned by that one.
That's just a small sample size and sure there will be more to come. Hope all is well, and is there anything ya'll want to talk about?

ISLES opens up with 13, that is 13, road games and I am just not talking about to MGS, Boston, NJ..go take a look. Hell, they play in Sunrise TWICE before they play at home. Flip side to that is they will have a bunch of home games later. If they can just play .500 to start with.

What the hell, I just bragged on the Rangers and you then trade Buchnevich? I do like the addition of Ristolainen for the Super Flys. Seems like they are serious about their Blue line.
See what happens over the weekend.

CT, sorry man. Sabres "starting over" once again. Reinhart to the Panthers. Looking forward to this team next year, especially if Spencer can develop more.
Tone, your boys are making moves for sure, but are they getting rid of the people they need to get rid of? You know more than myself but I liked Voracek. Atkinson is a good pick-up.
In other news, Seth Jones to Blackhawks. No doubt about his skill but the talk is his attitude. Hawks were young and showed some upside before falling off last year. Seth will only help the youth movement.
Speaking of teams "starting over"...Yotes getting rid of a couple of staples in their line-up for WHO? Beagle? Roussell? Didn't they play with Lindross?
Oh, Boo...your boys keeping Taylor Hall...hmmmmm

The Flyers moves have helped to address what their main problem was last season and that was defense. Adding Ristolainen is an upgrade from Hagg and Atkinson is a solid two-way player whereas Voracek was a one-way player. The addition of Atkinson should definitely help the pk unit.

Sabres are still a big mess, I just try to make some cash off them when I can, basement team for sure - AGAIN. Can't wait for CFB and NHL to come back, MLB is killing me - fkn umpires and BPs ALL suck. My own fault for betting on that junk. Enjoy what's left of the summer Doc.

Just getting home and reading this MAF trade...Vegas will rue the day just like the Pens. Hawks just got much better. Lehner does not equal the Flower...
Question for the smart ones...when was the last time a reigning Vezina winner was traded?

"While Marc-Andre Fleury still hasn't heard from anybody with the Vegas Golden Knights, he has apparently been traded to Chicago," Walsh tweeted. "Marc-Andre will be taking time to discuss his situation with his family and seriously evaluate his hockey future at this time."
Pretty low class if this the truth

Holy hell, there is more movement in the NHL than with me taking a Viagra
I don't know where to begin. Kraken getting Grubauer? Who is going to be in net for the Avs? STUPID. Dougie to the Devils? I like the B's getting Foligno, Haula and Ullmark. But they are projecting Ullmark as their #1 goalie? Please explain the Tyler Johnson trade to Blackhawks for Seabrooks, who announced he's retiring? Who is going to be in net for the Canes? Bernier to Devils, Mrazek to Toronto (which by the way is an upgrade), Reimer to San Jose...so many moves my head is

Hmmm..someone correct me, Tampa lost their ENTIRE 3rd line? Coleman, Goodrow and Gourde? Then 4th line center Johnson? The question at this point is WHICH team managed to stay intact?

Things that make you go hmmmmm... https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/31929787/nhl-investigate-allegation-san-jose-sharks-evander-kane-bet-own-games Truth or a woman scorned?
No hmmmm here Doc, I'm sure all of it is true and even more we don't know about, the POS still owes a local here 11k, which is apparently nothing compared to what else he's been up to. I wish I could have collected for "insert no name here" when that POS was still in town. I would have enjoyed it. I hope he gets what is coming to him sooner than later.
I could make other comments, but I'll hold my tongue.
Say buh bye to Captain Jack, he doesn't want to be here and I don't blame him, Sabres are still a mess and I don't expect much from them this year at all, no goalies, no nothing. I'll be looking to bet the under season win total when I see it.
