Will The COLTS throw game 17???

If they win at the Jags and STL loses to the 49ers than STL might get the number one draft pick.

The Colts have worked hard to "Suck for Luck" so I see them getting blown out of the water in week 17.

Both games start at 1pm EST.

as i said last week..why in hell would the actual players on the field be throwing the game when they all love manning? you think they want to lose so they have some primadonna rookie qb coming in and taking over guaranteeing they will probably suck for a few more years? any veteran on that team knows with manning back next year they are right back to a playoff contender. 

Not game 17... but week 17.

Management might give orders to SIT any capable players to insure a loss and the number one pick in the 2012 draft. Then management can use it for trade bait OR to guarentee that they have a solid up and coming replacement for Manning who's seasons are numbered now.

I think the Jags win it by 20+ points.

the jags have scored more then 17 once in their last 10 games. that would really have to be a tank job.

NFL players don't throw games for some kid in college that they don't give a rat's ass about.  They play for pay checks and to keep a job in the NFL.

The Colts could give a rat's ass about Andrew Fucking Luck.  A guy that has never played one down in the NFL. 

Furthermore, they do have a guy on their roster named Peyton Manning.  I'm pretty sure the entire Colts organization is pretty happy with him, no matter how many more years he has left on his arm.

I don't see where the Colts have any motivation to play hard this week. In their minds, the season is over. They finally got the elusive first win of the season, and wrapped up their home schedule with a max effort win over Tennessee last week. The linemaker opening the lame-ass Jaguars as 4.5 chalk tells the story better than I can.

Will they tank it ? No. Is there any reason to for them to go full bore ? A more important No.

Gabbert will actually look good in this game, clinging to hope that he's the answer in JAX.-    NOT:   I wouldn't touch the line, maybe the O/U

you give a pro athlete any wiggle room and they wont show up for work because they are lazy and overpaid, just like the rest america... you got a whole fan base that would rather see you lose than win...

Funny thing is didn't the Colts have any talent remaining after Manning went down- 1 WIN ?   Line  JAX -4 don't believe line will go up.

people in this thread are acting like jacksonville is good   they have a whopping 4 wins. wooohoooo. at least the colts have covered 4 in a row since they put orlovsky in. thats a little impressive no? i mean if you were gonna take wouldnt you do it right and have kept losing instead of winning 2 in a row? indy actually avgs more points on offense this year and has covered 1 less game then the shitty jags. im not sure what fan base wants indy to lose..pretty sure if i was a fan i would want manning back.  its not surprising the jags are 5 point faves or whatever they already won in indy by 14 this year. i wont be surprised at all if indy wins outright.  blaine gabbert is freakin horrible.

If they draft Luck, they'd probably try to trade Bradford.  Luck won't make as much money as Bradord due to the CBA, but how can a team spend 30+% of their salary cap on QBs?  Same goes for Indy.

But it is very difficult to trade a #1 pick because other teams won't want to give up their whole draft to get it.  Should be an interesting draft no matter what happens.

And I have never seen an NFL team lose on purpose to get a higher draft pick.
