yea but what happens if addai pulled a MJD and downed it at the 1 yd line to kill the clock..

and conversely from NE standpoint.....you don't let them score....b/c ONLY a TD beats you....Jags only needed 3.....how many times do teams not get in inside the 5...just ask the Eagles......I just can't believe how ignorant so many of you are....you have NO business gambling NONE

exactly. Pats will make the playoffs regardless.

I still think they got the 1st down. Call could have gone either way and would not have been overturned.

It will be interesting to see if NE defense uses this slap in the face as motivation to get better or as a reason to give up. TAKE THE JETS AND THE PTS NEXT WEEKEND!!!

Shame on the Patriots' defense for sucking so bad.  The Patriots' defense didn't do ther job, so that's why they were in that predicament.

If you too the pats, why not bet the ML

Home field means diddly squat in the playoffs nowadays. Just ask the #1 seeds from the last few years.

The Pats have showed they can beat Indy in Indy so I honestly don't think they are losing any sleep.

Cmon!. You Think that guy's going to do that. MJD, and Stokely earlier this year, showed resolve you see in very few players. NE not having time outs cost them not just on the no review, which they would've lost, but also for Bellichek to tell them if they get by the ten let them score. I was literally screaming at my TV for the guy not to tackle Addai on the play before the touch down.
As someone said he didn't trust the D so get it back in Brady's hands ASAP.  I actually understand going for it on 4th. I don't understand how he didn't tell the D, ok if we don't get this and they get within the ten let them score, we'll get the ball back and only have to go 40 yds in minute for a shot to win it. He's always got his shit together and That's what I don't get.

MTFN50... great question!  because the answer to that question is the reason all these other threads are retarded and pointless...

no doubt about it: if the Pats convert on the 4th and 2 play, and are able to run out the clock and win the game, Belicheck's 4th and 2 call would get NOTHING but praise, and they would be singing his praises as one of the greatest coaches of all time... simple as that... and that is the truth!

so if making it would make him a genius, not making it does not make it the worst call of all time...

yes, it was a mistake, and he paid for it... but with that offense against that defense, i think you are hard pressed to really say it was the wrong call... bad call, yes... wrong call... don't know about that...

i fell asleep with NE up 24-14, but beofre I said to myself I would take Indy at whatever the price. I had NE for the game. I wake up to NE going for it on 4th and 2 on their own 29 yard line and then promptly passed out knowing what could have been. what a shitty day.
