Why are Jets favored? TNF

It is silly you're only dealing with an 8 game sample and ignoring the quality of opponents and the QBs they faced. 

And talking about how many passing TDs given up means nothing in an 8 game sample, why throw the ball when you can score TDs  running against the Jets ? 

I watched the Patriots Sunday convert a bunch of  3rd and longs to win that game for anyone to say anything good about the Jets defense is being stupid.

I'm not betting the game not making a case for Houston either could care less on the outcome but you're clueless my Mad Professor.

When the Jets hired Robert Saleh in 2021, they led the league in ppg allowed(17) over that span. Also allowing 256 ypg.

Since firing him, 28.3 ppg allowed with 338 yards per game allowed.

Since week 6: 25th in epa per play on defense. Before week 6, 6th in epa per play.

They were 2-3 with Saleh, now 0-3 with Ulbrich.

The Jets have the least amount of coaches on staff of any NFL team.

Whether it's the owner, gm, or both, who are making decisions for this team, there's a reason the Jets fall on their faces year after year.

The fact that you ignore The Texans schedule is comical:

Anthony Richardson, the worst QB in the history of Football, had a 101.2 Qb rating against the Texans pass defense. Thats awful.

I’m probably taking the Jets let me preface that.  Probably because I’m a glutton for punishment.  But I’ve watched their last 4 games.  This is the worst fucking football team I’ve watched all year.  They’re worse than the Panthers.  They’re more talented, yes, but scheme wise, functional wise they’re the worst team I’ve seen.  Last week they burned all timeouts in the first quarter because they couldn’t get a play call in on time.  They’ve had cadence issues all seasons, with F- absolute dogshit football minds in Downing/Hackett calling plays, mixed with washed curmendegon Aaron Rodgers.  Defensively it doesn’t get much better, Sauce Gardner gets twisted around more than a figure skater in coverage now, talk about the most overrated player in football; Christ he fucking sucks.  Presnap penalties galore, untimely turnovers, awful special teams.  There’s absolutely no reason this shit ass team should be favored.  

But here we are, probably taking the Jets tonight.  I’m gonna need a lot of booze and antacids to get me through the night.  God help me.

It is literally the perfect time to take the Jets. Houston has not impressed me this season considering the leap forward you would expect with Stroud not being a rookie and having Diggs now.

The Jets have struggled but i think they can win in this spot off the 2 road games while Houston despite their record has only cashed two tickets. They're not great as a favorite and they just got a division win. That = relax and heal up mode and not bothered about a team with a losing record on a short week. The AFC south is way more important to them, and the whole division looks pretty bad in general tho the Colts have cashed every game they aren't good or winning games the Titans and Jags both stink.

Even with the injuries to Houston’s receivers, I think the Texans are more balanced, better coached and more disciplined. Backing the Jets ? I can’t do it …

Poppyg sums things up pretty well I think. I came here looking for an explanation for why the Jets are favored. My own conclusion was that Vegas is expecting a bounce after the loss to the Pats and for Rodgers to come out on fire after all the bad press this week. When I watch the guy play, he's slow (mentally & physically), confused, losing his composure and is not seeing the entire field. His inability to commit to and run a play is maybe one of the most damning evidence. He's not the same guy.

Being familiar with the effects of brain fog, it's not something you can come to terms with for a while, so I doubt he's even aware of his issues. So he might believe he's gonna come through. But when your processing time slows, even by a fraction of a second, it messes with your psyche and incites panic. I'm pretty sure that's what's happening with Aaron and, if I'm right, there's no way he's capable of the kind of performance he'd need to lead the Jets to a W tonight.

I have the game at Hou -6.5. The only thing I think that helps the Jets as much as the bookmakers are giving is that the pressure is off the Jets now. Their season is over and they have come to terms with that so its possible they will play better  not being under so much pressure. 
I will probably end up a sucker I am hammering Houston with a sledge hammer.

 The sharps know the Jets can easily be 6-2 with an ounce of kicking and qb play.

Zuerline is 30% worse than average, and 20% worse than the second worse kicker.

His FGOA is -4. another 4 field goals on the jets season is a game changer.

He legitimately lost the Broncos, Bills, and Patriots game. With a competent kickers, Jets win all 3.

Jets outplayed Viking in second half until rogers threw a wtf pass near the end zone.

The 2-6 is not reflected of the actual performance.

The major difference between the 2 teams? Coaching & GM.
