Usher is both Pop and R&B.  This SB was also supposed to be Pop but Taylor Swift dropped out.  Bad Bunny is neither rap or R&B.  So the only theme I saw was you stating the NFL now only caters to minorities which would then be about race so you can sugarcoat it however you want

It's fun music for the youngs. Don't over think it. Maybe it's in Spanish, which is faux pas at the moment , but remember not only "Mexicans" speak Spanish.  The language came from Europe for fuckks sake. Keep politics out of sports and go hit the bar at halftime or look at the 2ndh line for christ sake.  

I can't remember the last time I watched a halftime show. I usually use that time to pee out all the beer I've been drinking.

Actually I'm in good heath, retired and yes i do sit out on the deck and watch the wildlife. If your having a Super Bowl party and you and your guests are OK watching performers running around on stage holding their private areas, enjoy! I rather see a act that has respect for him or herself.

Enjoy this entertaining thread. Never really watched halftime shows and I'm not at the old folks home yet. I'm there to watch a damn game not a concert. Even if Britney Spears was there one time. But it's a popularity contest and the demographics suggest the NFL is letting the wind fill their sails and guide them in whichever direction it needs to navigate. It's called globalism. That's why Lopez performed with the Puerto Rico flag and that's why the league wants franchises overseas. Taylor Swift drove a hard bargain and so the NFL chose the next best thing in terms of popularity. Business decision. It's all crap to me especially the last 20-25 years but there is nothing to be done about it. Just ignore it. We know whoever this person is will use it as a platform and make some kind of political statement. My politics lean wide right not wide left.

If you can't think of one, neither can I.  Maybe it's the Latin community in California that'll give him the support.  The show must go on n we can't have it our way all the time.  Half time is break time.  Even them players are not sticking around to see the half time show.  Halftime, we go outdoors for a smoke or getting fresh air n or talking about our 2nd half bets.  We pool our money in n give it to one guy to place a bigger than life bet on their account or run to a local bookie.

You all do know performers dont get paid for the super bowls acts, right? The NFL covers production costs and performers get paid a union scale wage for their work, way way way below what they are used to getting paid.

Also if magas had their way they would just have kid rock and John Rich (from big and rich) do the halftime of the super bowl forever
