Ha, the Jags went to 7 in my book already. What the hell are they doing lately? Second week in a row then gave me the hook in a key line AND a discount on juice only to swing it in my favor the next day and add on juice.
Anyway, I'm fairly early in my weekly capping process. I'm soaking in Sunday's games through the Superfan Short Cuts, at the moment.
Some very early thoughts:
- What do you think the SD-NO line would have been had Bush not gotten hurt? What do you think the line would have been in this was a normal Saint HOME game? With the line being SD -3 and with all indications of it RISING, the books apparently think the game would be a PK if the Saints were home. IMO, that line would no doubt be Saints -3 with or without Bush, so I see some Saint value. By no means is this a pick or even a lean, just a thought at the moment.
-Looking back at the Colts, I think its fair to say that minus a few minutes in each of the Viking and Texan games, and the entire Ravens game, this is not a very good football team. Take a look at the only true team that they beat this year though. The Ravens. Aren't the Ravens and the Titans fairly similar squads? Makes me wonder if the Colts can't jump out ahead early, and play out a similar game as the rout against Baltimore last week.
-I'm looking at Miami at home on a possibly ML. Just a gut feeling right now, but I think they exploit a slightly overrated Buffalo D.
-I had Philly circled after last weeks Atlanta win as I thought the Matt Ryan bandwagon in the media may open this up in the 6-7 range, but 9 is a little too high right now. I may wind up falling back on my original lean, but for now I'm passing.
-Carolina looks juicy. I'm gonna wait for a click back to 4. Shit, maybe even 3.5. Arizona is a fairly high profile team these days(although that Dallas win is diminished a bit), and I can see it floating down a hook.
-Initial look I disagree with you on Pitt. From what I've seen of this team, they sometimes go entire halves with their offense completely gone. They got away with it beating Cincy, Cleveland, and Baltimore with their offense snoozing for large chunks of these games, but can they do it against the Giants?
