does he deserve to play? yes. he served his time.

Newsflash-

He wasnt that good before, he has since aged and has been sitting in jail.

He isnt in condition or mindset to play the game, any team that takes him and pays him more than the league min are suckers.

somewhere between leavenworth and virginia i would find a 1 hour motel and do my business with my fiancee... 19 months would be a long time without.....

I'm surprised his name hasn't been mentioned here, North of the Border.... CFL usually gives guys like Vick a shot, I mean the Argos signed Ricky Williams for a year when he was suspended by the NFL... granted, Vick's case is worse than Williams was, but I thought some murmurs would be bandied about here.

That bold sentence is the only statement I agree with.  From what I've been reading, Vick has been doing NOTHING except working out and planning his comeback to the NFL.  Everything else (eg the 9/hr job, the interviews) is just doing what is "necessary" to be forgiven so he can fight for his redemption.

Im no fan of Michael Vick, but never underestimate the human mind and body, especially when there is HUGE motivation to accomplish something.

oh yeah, as a business man.....you'd be STUPID not pass up on Michael Vick.  Imagine how many fucking tickets that guy is gonna sell.  Love him or Hate him, Win or Lose,  Michael Vick WILL FILL SEATS.

As a business man, WSC, you should be the first to acknowledge that whoever picks him up will make a FUCK-TON of $$$$$


     WallStreet only paying league minimum to a guy who will sell out every home game

Thats very funny.

So working out is all one needs to do in order to play in the league huh?

Vick lacks basic quality skills, like passing accuracy and the mental aspect of the game. You cannot sit in jail and lift weights and expect to somehow overcome these issues, which have plagued him since entering the league.

I think people who think he was unfairly prosecuted will want him to succeed, but there are plenty who feel otherwise and I am sure many players are thrilled to take him down after what he did as well.

MOST owners based on pure principal would never touch him, plus his style is not conducive to most teams game plans, so combine these issues and I doubt there are more than 2-3 teams who would need him and want to take that risk.

Name some teams who could succeed with his style, are willing to take the risk on the PR issue and his lack of playing and aging for these years?

I dont care, he wont play for the teams I follow, so good luck to whomever signs him (if any)

I don't like Vick.  Never have, never will.  He sucks at passing and he is always looking to run because he can't fully read defenses.  Im NOT defending Vick, Im just pointing out that your looking at this whole situation all wrong.

Is just business, nothing more.....

Oh yeah, I hope Vick goes to the Browns.  Wait, what does "ironic" mean again?

Vick is gonna sell tickets??  What teams need to sell tickets? its not the NHL or mens soccer.
 
 No way no how.  
 
He will be more trouble then he is worth. He has not played in years and will be a non factor for any team that is better then a 6 win squad.
 
I do on a personal note feel bad for him. What he did was awful but he paid for his crimes more then many who killed PEOPLE.
 
We also know PETA and similar groups will be waiting wherever he ends up.  
 
I think he paid his dues personally. But I do not see a productive fit for him anywhere

Sure the guy "served his time" but I wouldn't give this guy a second chance.  It's not like he had a few drinks and got a DUI. . . He ran an operation that has haneous and should not be allowed in the NFL again.  Play in the CFL or UFL kid.

But its OK for Leonard Little to kill a HUMAN BEING while driving drunk and he is playing in the NFL now.. Never served a day.. Vick goes to jail for killing ATTACK DOGS ... Peopel act like those dogs were freaking Lassie or Rin Tin Tin.. Ask James Harrison about how they are a great family pet.. He payed his dues.. freaking bleeding hearts.. I own a dog but IMO attack dogs should be outlawed.. One kid killed by an attack dog is one to many.. No reason for it.. IMO Vick did me and my family and my dog( black lab)  a huge  favor one less attack dog.. Lots of good dogs out there to chose from .. No freaking reason for the attack  breeds.. ONE KID KILLED BY THESE ANIMALS IS ONE TO MANY... And yet they continue to kill kids every year.. Thanks Mike the torture was horrid but the end result was good.. Blast away bleeding hearts..

one kid killed by an attack dog is too many...and if i knew for a fact that one of mike's dogs would of went on to kill a kid, then i would say kill them all because id rather save a child than 12dogs....BUT how the fuck do you know what these dogs could of went to be [maybe lassie, maybe not] if they werent trained to be killers?

Jack - I never said that I was an advocate of Little, so don't put words in my mouth.  Shit, I'm a cubs fan and Ron Santo even got out of killing a person while drunk driving 30-40 years ago (even though I've heard this from an UNreliable source, I could still see Santo doing this).  Pitbulls are one of my favorite dogs IMHO.  Obviously torturing any breed will make them mean.

Mdaak, i don't see anyone in here talking about the fact that stallworth just killed a man, and is now just facing 2 degree 'Manslaughter" and Mike goes to the feds for a year and a half. Shit Stallworth might do 3 mos and get probation, but the killing of dogs gets you a 2 year sentence. the system is all messed up, and yes the guy does desrve a chance. And if any of you know about PETA you would agree this organazation is not wrapped to tight themselves.

I'm not comparing Vick to anyother criminal in the NFL.  All I am saying is this fuckhead doesnt deserve to be in the league.  Shit, join another football league - classless fuck.  And, yes, the "system" is messed up.  I totally agree with you there
