Survivor Pool Hedge for $25,000

Hi everyone.  First post here but any and all help with my dilemma is much appreciated.  With KC winning, I'm 3 picks away from a perfect survivor pool on sportsbookag which will pay $25K.  I'm pretty confident in my week 15 (ATL or BUF both 10+ point favorites) and 17 (PIT vs CLE should be 10+ spread) picks but week 16 will be more difficult.  I'll have a few options, DAL, OAK, GB and LA (most should be 4-6 point favs).  I'm looking for some hedging advice.  Ideally I'd at least like to walk away with $7500.  What I'm thinking, assuming I can win next week, is fly to vegas for week 16 and put a $7500 bet ($8250 with vig) on the spread of whichever team I pick against.  By taking the spread vs money line, I have the ability of winning both bets. If I happen to win both, I'll fly back for week 17 and do the same thing to try and maximize win.  If I happen to lose the 8,250 bet but win pick, I can also fly back week 17 and try another similar hedge.  Let me know your thoughts/advice.  Thanks

Sounds like alot of work to fly to vegas to hedge IMO .....

Anything you have at sports book.AG you'll never see that money. They have not been paying players for over a year, your $25,000 in sports book is worth $.25 of real money

I'm certainly hoping you're wrong shua, it will be a pain to withdraw it $2500 at a time with a 3% fee each time and the issues with depositing it in us bank/taxes but I'll save that for another thread.  As for flying to vegas, it's certainly a pain to do, but I think I'd trust that more than putting $8250 into online sportsbook and the pain of withdrawing.

Look up sports book.AG on sports book review.com, they are blacklisted on that website and they owe 2,000,000+ in wagers that have been attempted to be in cash out and got unpaid. People were told they would wait 8 to 10 weeks and the checks never got sent, very bad stuff that goes on there

so much for sleeping tonight considering this.  I also have 2 other survivor pools alive, another for the $25K prize and another for $100k prize.  Decent shot I win one of those as well.  Praying that it's not as bad as some of the reviews out there.

I can't say it any more clearly than this, get every penny out of that book and go to five dimes or bet-online. I have had funds confiscated and anything you have in there is very unlikely to ever be paid to you. Period.

For the sake of argument, let's assume they will pay out (very slowly but eventually I'm able to cash), are my thoughts on the hedging strategy accurate or would there be a better way to go about it?

I will after this, I do like sportsbookag just because of their survivor pool challenge but I guess we'll have to wait and see how I really feel.

Hankinson, I too am alive in the same pool. You might want to go read the terms and conditions, chances are you're gonna have to pick the winner of three games next week due to the number of people still alive in the pool. Furthermore, the 25k is split amongst all remaining survivors at season's end.....best of luck going forward.

i use bovada. bitcoin easy and fast. only thing bad is bovada sometimes don't release sports lines early. so sucks when you wanna do parlay or teasers on different days.

If you haven't used Buffalo, SD, and Pittsburgh... I suggest opening a 5Dimes account and laying around 12,000 on the prop bet "Cleveland wins/ties in a game this season" juiced at -155 then go against them each week in survivor. It guarantees you around $7500 and you don't need to fly anywhere

I would put some of that hedging money in the moneyline. Not all but definitely not none.

Just read the terms.  SHADY.  They really lead you to believe all you need to do is have perfect season to win grand prize.  Had NO idea that it is split amongst all winners and if their are a certain number of entries left after week 14, you have to select 3 picks.  WTF?  Well so much for hedging and so much for ever doing this contest again.

I would not mess around a fly to vegas for 1k max including hotel and lay a 11k bet. Guaranteed walk away with 10k or 14k profit minus travel expense

Hey man, that's what I was pointing out last night. In all likelihood, there will be 300+ survivors after this week, so you will have to pick three games next week. Obviously at that point, any hedging options are gone. From my recollection, pools such as this rarely have a single winner as the jackpot is typically split amongst multiple winners. Hang in there and at least get a share of the pot, good luck......

Quik ? What do you think a survivor pool is .you play against everyone else in the pool last person standing wins if multiple winners split that's y mo st pools do like a roadblock game where you have to pick more than 1 game at end of year

In our survivor league the teams reset when it goes into the playoffs and you keep picking. Good times.

Currently there are 33 entries remaining out of 768 ~$13,000 pool. Going with Indianapolis this week and rooting for the Bears.
