8.... I know a lot of ya will think that I'm overreacting but there's
some things to consider for sure.. When the Vikes played the saints they were starting there #4 & #5 corners.. w/ a sh**y game plan in the second half they lose 14-9 & while they played terrible were still in the game.. Against the Dolphins they lose on a 4th & goal play at the one, turnovers in key places killed the Vikes, but could have won that one. They didn't play a complete game against the Lions & still win by 14. Like some posters said earlier the Pack were supposed to be the Real deal coming in.. After their past 2 weeks I don't see that same team that everyone was talking about. Chicago isn't for real, they can't stop the pass although their run D is very very good.. Lions have some studs but they're still a work in progress & won't make any noise in the division w/ their 0-4 start... Vikes for sure are contenders in the division-- It doesn't get any easier in their next 4 games, but man you got Brett running things, AP doing what he does, percy can go to the slot where he is comfortable, moss getting attention deep opening things up & you got a top 3 TE in the leauge.. ohh yea when Sydney gets back you got one of the best WR tandem's in the leauge... Defensiviely you got one of the best front seven's in the game & you're whole secondary is healthy w/ Ced & Cook back from injuries-- Sorry for the long post, i know i'm a homer but anyone that seriously doesn't think they can make some noise in the weak NFC is crazy.. this team is gonna go far fellas & may this next week on Monday night football be a preview of the super bowl  GL everyone  |

You don't understand Moss, my friend. He's a good teammate EARLY ON. It's when he's been around a while that he can be a malcontent. He did it with MN at the end....he did it with Oakland at the end. He will be fine for this year....he'll feel wanted again.

I would not want to get him pissed, and right now hes very angry. he is scoing 15 plus td with minny and farve is going to throw him the ball every chance he has. these two have been trying to team up since 98'. he will be an issue again next year but minny is all in right now for 2010.

I understand it from both sides and thinks it makes sense for what both organizations are trying to do at this point in time. Obviously the Vikings are doing everything they can to win a title this year. The addition of Moss should put them back in the conversation of favorites in the NFC as well as give Favre a spark personally.
From the Patriots side they seem to be sacrificing this year, which didnt seem to be a super bowl contender anyway, to stockpile even more draft picks next year. They now will have 6 picks in the top 90 or so and should be set up for getting much younger and deeper while they build for another run in the latter part of Bradys career.

Really you are comparing touchdowns scored to Jim Brown's era? You really think Moss is 50 touchdowns better as an athlete? And why do you keep saying the Jets are going to roll through their division, wasn't this the same team that started 4-0 last year and limped into the playoffs. This year is far from over and the J-e-t-s have far from clinched a playoff spot. The trade was a good one for both sides and what they wanted to accomplish. And by the way, Moss will now have a guy who has thrown a whole lot of touchdowns and set a couple of passing records throwing to him.(since you are interested in stats)

Meanwhile Peterson will go nuts as the 8 or 9 in the box will open up. Look at backs that played with Moss...Rober Smith, LaMont Jordan, etc...all career years with Moss and little thereafter...also look at QBs like Culpepper and Brady that had career years with Moss.
He wasn't trying in NE as he was pissed about the contract so they won't miss much catching balls but, there is always a safety over the top or else it's six points.

Last night Brandon Tate became a star on national television. Ranyd Moss had 0 catches. Brady & Belichick are very close and there's not a doubt in my mind that Brady was given a heads up and maybe even told to try and win the game without Moss. No deep balls last night. The outburst of special teams kind of made it hard to tell if they'd have won without him but with 2 weks to plan vs the Ravens, its the perfect time to pull this off.

I think they traded him because he doesn't fit into the offense. He is a great receiver and all but I think his routes suck.....He's long and lanky and can only run straight.......He just does not fit into the Pats offensive playbook.....His stock is high so get rid of his ass......Its a win win situation for both teams in the trade

you know that stuff worked fine the first fews years around when no one knew how ruthless he and the team were. No one ever gave any thought that they would be treated like meat. A player, a professional, and an NFL commodity "yes". But they have gone overboard and have proved that even if you win one with them from here out. It just a win for your resume, your mantle, and something you can take later with you in life. But winning it as a Patriot means NOTHING. There is not one drop of the word "TEAM" left in that place.
I dont care for the team, dont follow them much, etc. but if I were a pro looking for a team, they would be my last choice. Brady has to lead that group too. They have put him in a spot, although he seems to fit the "ME" profile. Another 5 years and the two split with a handshake and a "take care", no feelings at all.
What a shame they have thrown away the team concept for money and a possible trophy down the road. And if they win one, two, or even three more with this bunch. It wont mean as much as one super bowl this year by a team that plays togehter.
