First off, you can't even pronounce Indy's QB's name, never mind know who he is without looking back at the OP for his name.

Second, yeah BIG LOOKAHEAD game to the Mighty Wolverines in what ranks among their worst seasons ever (and is also scandal ridden).

Hey guys at least he takes time out to post and give us some reasoning.

You can bet whoever you want he is kind enough to share his personal opinion.

    Good luck

Write ups are great to have no matter who does it, his are pretty informative from a point of view....  the problem is that in his mind, his opinion is correct no matter what the outcome, and his ego is out of control.  When he said to another poster "People would rather get a losing pick from me rather than a winning pick from you" just proved that this guy has lost it.

The good thing is he only plays a couple of college games a year so we don't really have to deal with him..... NFL people on the other hand don't have it so good.

If any of you studied psychology you would understand that more often than not you make a decision and THEN create your reasonings.

Thanks for the writeups Scal, I like people like you and the responses you get because I can get a idea of what the public perception is. But as I said above its just your flare, which is honestly the most value I see here. This one happened to be a poor pick but I don't follow you so idk if you can cap well. BOL with the season.

We are halfway through the football season (reg and post), so you are you up halfway or not? Its not really how many plays, its how strong you play them and how many you do. Good cappers know that

I agree with this 100%.  I feel most write-ups are done as an attempt to  help the author convince themselves they made a good play, and not others.  There are so many stats and angles available that you can do a pretty lengthy write-up to support just about any play.

For me personally, I use a "think long, think wrong" approach, and really trust my gut.  Which is why if/when I do any "write-ups" it's a lot of times just a sentence or two "blurb" about the play.

I would say > 90% of the write ups (my own included) do not contain much information that isn't already factored into the line.

But to each his own, and as I said, everyone has their own approach, the bottom line is are you picking more winners than losers.

Thanks for the writeups Scal, I like people like you and the responses you get because I can get a idea of what the public perception is. But as I said above its just your flare, which is honestly the most value I see here. This one happened to be a poor pick but I don't follow you so idk if you can cap well. BOL with the season.

    Yes, yes.

According to this poster, ALL WRITE-UPS are simply CONFIRMATION BIAS.

You CANNOT take a game, look at both sides, find a side you like and then present information that supports your side. This write-ups have to be edited you do know that write? I don't have 3 hours to present EVERY conceivable angle and counterangle.

Under that line of thinking, any argument about virtually anything can't be done in an objective matter.

    Objectivity doesn't exist!!!

Syc, WHY DO YOU THINK I WRITE GAMES UP. It is PRECISELY for the reader to take what I wrote and either disagree and go the other way OR agree and take the side. It is a presentation of something substantive.

This is in the face of 99% of posters writing....nothing at all.

Is that better? Because they are secretly and objectively assessing those picks but not posting the research?

You are in the wrong thread addressing the wrong person. Fairly amazing if you ask me.

Shameful loss no doubt so I won't be betting the jets again this year. It's over. I don't have an appropriate read on them at all.
new york football yeams are ven worse than the rangers in hockey. my weakness for the giants cost me this season alone few grands. they don't care thou - all the reason they exist this season is to empty bettors pockets. the popularity is not harmed as they draw big crowds win or lose (pretty much like yourself)

I fail to see in any capacity how challenging others here (not to mention for a measly 10 games) does anyone any good.

Everyone has their own style.  It's not about how you get there, it's just about winning.

    THANKSGIVING SNOWMAN CAPOFF!!!

Do you think Scal gives one ounce of shitt about you?  Congrats, you went 5-0.  Next week you'll probably go 0-5.  Stay in your threads with 112 views and make your money with your golden picks.  Nobody cares, except sheep that are down a lot of money, see a random poster that goes 5-0 and then they follow you, and when you suddenly regress to the norm and lose, they will be out even more money than they already are.  I've seen it a million times on this site.

Anybody that hates on Scal after a loss is dumb enough to blindly tail a random stranger and not make their own picks based on their own research and analysis.

If you hate on somebody when they lose, you're the loser, not the original poster.

It's most likely that the original poster lost a way smaller % of his bankroll than you did because you tail more than you can afford to lose and you tail someone when they're hot and you're down money, which is a recipe for disaster.

THE LOSER IS YOU, NOT THE POSTER.

Again, nobody in the world cares about you, except for the 112 viewers you have in your threads.  Enjoy that and enjoy exploiting Scal's thread in attempt to lure sheep into your threads.

It is the NFL, there is no one that if they posted their picks each week with reasoning wouldn't look terrible at some point.  As a Jets fan,  if you stay true to not betting on them again this year you will save money.  They gave up in last game, they have been bad most of the year but at least they played hard.  This game was an embarrassment.  Going back to Geno
