And like said above, that was Rodgers first playoff game.   


Rodgers is ten times better than Favre ever was when it comes to turnovers.   

First playoff game?  In Favre's first playoff game he threw a 50 yard come from behind game winning TD strike to Sharpe with less than a minute left on the clock. 

Not saying that Favre wasn't more turnover prone than Rodgers, there is no question to that fact.  However, Rodgers is not perfect himself.

I don't think Pittsburgh scares anybody anymore, and that was even true before they lost their best RB for the season.

It's been a long time since the Packers played that bad and a long time since Rodgers played that bad.   Hard to understand why it happened.  


Maybe they shouldn't have let Flynn play that last game.    Rodgers watching Flynn throw 6 TD's may have hurt his confidence somehow.    Kind of like , "maybe I'm not as good as I think I am" kind of thing?    


I don't know , just speculating.    He didn't look like the same player he's been all year yesterday.   Missing throws he usually makes with his eyes closed.

Last year during the Super Bowl run, Rodgers was so confident.  Guy was throwing unbelievable pass after unbelievable pass in all those games.      He looked shaky and unsure of himself yesterday for some reason.       It's weird.

Another one ............ I guess the Giants defense had nothing to do with it .... pass rush didnt do much to cause him to play that way

I heard a rumor that Rogers was listening to Leon Lewis music before the game hence, the poor performance.

The Giants pass rush didn't look any better than pass rushes and defenses that Rodgers has seen many many times in his career.    

The whole team was just in a funk yesterday.    Congrats to the Giants but there was something wrong with the Packers.    I'm not making excuses for them but something wasn't right.

Yea something was right ... its called hearing foot steps

 

not to mention all the help the ref were trying to give gb!!  Just Face it Greenbay defense sucks and the offense got out played .. plain and simple ... Foot Steps make great qb throw sooner just ask Brady

Yes sir another no.1 seed weak in total yards differential bites the dust, that's 1-3 ATS, 1-3 SU for these no.1 seeds the past 2 years the 1 winner Pats beating a 8-8 team and one-of the worst statistical teams to make the playoffs in history.

Keep in mind no no.1 seed has even made the SB, Pats going down this week ???

15 wins or not those no.1 seeds weak in this stat are flat-out just not that great of teams and rarely will win or even go to SB's. SB's

Claw, that number is based on 16 games regular season only or you have to add on playoff game, such as 16+1 for New England after they routed the Broncos last week? Thanks!

You're no better than LetsGoPack1234.  Arrogant in victory - and offering every excuse under the sun when your team loses.  The FACT is, I hate the Giants - but they totally dominated the Pack in EVERY facet, and if not for some TERRIBLE officiating - the Pack wouldn't have scored more than 10 points.  Total.  That's as much to do with the Giants smothering D as it is to the Pack supposedly being "off".  

Next time, after you predict a Pack win - and they get smoked - save the fucking excuses and simply offer the following...

"The Giants played a great game, deserved to win and I was wrong in my capping".

They had the worst pass defense of all time.  Zero pass rush. Rodgers covered it up most of the year.  At this point in the season Giants were just a better team

Down goes another no.1 seed weak in total yds diff, that brings their  record to 1-3 ATS and  just 2-2 SU for the teams with the best records.

And it's 1-5 ATS and a pathetic 2-4 SU past 2 seasons for the teams with the best records.

The Pats did manage to make the SB, being the first such no.1 seed, however, they were very, very fortunate to beat the Ravens who  much out-played them and easily could of won the game.

If you haven't seen the stat yet, teams out-played like the Pats were by the Ravens are 1-110 in playoff history, I wouldn't count on another no.1 seed doing it again for some time.

We've now had both no.1 seeds weak in total yds diff in back-to-back seasons, a first, free agency and this pass happy era have done nothing but produce weak, weak, weak teams with the best records.

And the evidence of this ..............the team with the better record is 1-10 ATS past 11 times one team had a better record.

Something to keep in mind next season................................................

Stats like yardage gained/allowed can often be overrated. In fact, the only stat that has consistently correlated to win % for decades is turnover percentage. And who leads the league in interceptions? GB had 31, and only threw 6.

It would be a mistake to dwell on "never been done before" or picking and choosing your stats - because it can (and probably will) make you look pretty naive.

 

I'll continue to rack-up ATS wins and nice ML wins while you can keep telling me how it all doesn't matter.............................................see you down the road............................................

packers need to make major changes on defense if they have any hopes of contending for another title in the next few seasons

The whole team was in a funk?  Funny, I never saw Favre get cut that kind of slack the last time the Giants beat Green Bay in the playoffs.
