Have you guys noticed that all the onside kicks this year (99%) that the kicker had lay the football on its side and kicked it spinning on the ground has never gone past the required 10 yards.

Why not kicked the top tip of the football and make it bounce 30 ft in the air and have your player with the best vertical go high point that mofo?

As a past kicker myself, I have asked this question all year. What the kickers are doing now, along with poor execution, zero chance to recover.

It is a crying shame what the NFL has done with rule changes to the onside kick. Onside kicks used to be pretty exciting as you never knew what the hell might happen. Now, the kicking team really has no shot whatsoever of getting the ball back. I really miss the brand of football I grew up.
