If anything Lovie would have been giving up on the game if he had not kicked the FG there. If there was any way the Bears were going to win the game they needed a FG at some point anyways. Would have been dumb to waste anymore time trying to get into the endzone.
you worry about the fg at the end, you are that close for a TD you try and get it there dumb ass

the reason why they kick a FG is to F*** a lot of people for 2H betting. The whole game was Packers -13 or 13.5 by half time.. the packers are up 14-3 and 2H packers - 6 So people see that -6 and see wow that only -6 .. and packer at home.. 1 TD can cover it. So when the packer were up 35 - 18 with 4 minutes left in 4th quarter.. there no way to score 2 TD and 1 FG in 4 minutes to tie the game.. so the bear will try to score but they coudnt in that 4 minutes time frame.. so what do they do ? kick a FG and F*** the 2H packers betting up.. 35-21 and packers cover the whole game by 14.. but lost 2H. If the bear go for it on 4th down ?? that doesn't do much to the game as a whole.. but by kicking that FG.. it kill the packers gamblers that betting on them 2H thinking only -6 would be an easy $$$$$ .... gambling is all mind reading.. packers move the ball too easily... and vegas can read your mind majority of the time..

Right, because with 72 seconds left it's easier to kick the field goal and recover the onside kick at the 45 and score a touchdown going 55 yards rather than 12 yards out and then repeat it. Makes Lovie Smith sense to me. This would make sense if there were more than 2 minutes on the clock, but the game was already out of hand and his logic made absolutely no sense. You want to see what the new kid can do? Then let him try on 4th down. A field goal? What a wimp.

Like 18 years ago, the Colts were playing the Skins on Sunday night football...........I was at a wedding & watching the game with friends at the bar of the reception hall........needles to say, we decided to leave at the 2 minute warning up 17.............next morning bright & early my friend called & said we had lost the bet...........I never checked the final score, just went straight to sleep thinking we won, well...........
The Colts kicked a fg, then 2 onside kicks & scored 2 td's, then went into overtime & they won by 3 so its never over until its over...........with that said, its a super long shot but it can happen.
I think you have some of your memory mixed up with the Colts-Bucs game from MNF eight years ago.
The 93 Colts did narrow the gap on the Redskins, as they were down 30-10 and lost 30-24. However, they didn't win nor did they go to OT. I knew they couldn't have won like you said, because the game would have been more talked about in those "greatest comebacks of all-time" countdowns.
