What you wrote here is total bull$hit. A rule is a rule...Garrett started all of this by sacking a QB that didn't have the ball...a flag should have been thrown and then Myles drove Rudolph into the ground with extra sauce...

Garrett was on top and Rudolph was doing anything at that point to get him off...and I don't blame him one bit if it was kicks to the nuts or anything else...he was protecting himself from a psycho intent on doing him harm. 

Garrett waiting almost one full week to bring up this story of Rudolph calling him a racial slur is proof positive that it never happened.

If a whitebread did this to a black QB I would want him punished for it. Yeah, even if the black QB called him a honky during the melee. Criminal actions are what counts not name callings...

It's not really surprising to see some of the Covers' resident pro geniuses commenting, with unfounded and purely irresponsible conjecture on hypothetical scenarios, regarding Rudolph, instead of what did happen and the basis of this whole ordeal -- the actions of Garrett. "Rudolph was going to do this, and he was going to do that".... and then unfounded and unsubstantiated claims of what he said.....which then calls for assumptions of the operations of his mind and then subsequently, nothing but stupid presumptions and false accusations. With that said...

Why didn't Garrett make say anything about Rudolph calling him a slur after the game? What about during the week? Why did he wait until the day of his hearing of his appeal, to make that claim? Hmmmmm....

If Rudolph did say the slur that Garrett claims, why didn't any of the other players who were right there, including HIS OWN TEAMMATES, confirm that he did say it?

Besides the NFL and their league offices coming out and saying there was no confirmation on Rudolph making any racial slur, do you think it would have been confirmed somewhere, with all the cameras and microphones all over the place?

Try to look at it OBJECTIVELY and what ACTUALLY HAPPENED (Garrett's actions), and not your personal feelings and assumptions.

Finally, for those that want to bring up comparisons of this incident to our president, don't let the facts of the economy, record unemployment on all demographics across the board, record stock markets, jobs created, consumer confidence, especially as we head into the holidays, etc., along with the upcoming release of Inspector General's report of FISA abuse by the FBI, which prompted the Russian collusion garbage and subsequent  Mueller investigation, over 2.5 years and $35 million of the American tax payers, skew your biases (although I don't think it would ever matter)....

What part of Rudolph's lawyer's letter was ingenuine? Everything he stated in that letter was accurate. Your feelings and beliefs of Rudolph being a bad QB is irrelevant to the context of the OP's thread. Nobody forced Garrett to use a helmet as a weapon. 

Garrett's 'huge mistake' is something he will carry throughout his whole career, huh? How would you compare it to the stigma and cloud that will linger with Rudolph, of being accused of a using a racial slur, for the rest of his career and into his personal life?

Here we go again, with the assumptions and presumptions -- this time into the mind of Garrett. If that were true, then where is the argument of Rudolph swinging a helmet -- well it's impossible, because it didn't happen. Garrett is responsible for his own actions. That's all you should be worried about, instead of hypotheticals.

For those that think that Garrett shouldn't / wouldn't be charged with a crime or out of the realm of possibility, Marty McSorley was charged with assault after he used his hockey stick to hit Donald Brashear. He ultimately was sentenced to 18 months probation.

What difference does it make on where it happened? You are inserting your beliefs and dispositions on an incident that became a legal matter...yet once again, look only at the facts...
