First of all, I am laughing at the posters who are saying that the Jets are biggest "lock" ever. 

Please see below for details and that should answer who I would bet on.   

  • Over the last 5 years the Jets have had a much better team than the Dolphins.
  • Over the last 5 years, the Jets have covered by more than 7 points twice. 
  • Over the last 5 years, the Jets have not covered the spread at home.
  • The last 3 years the Jets have lost straight up to the dismal Dolphins.
  • The Jets have yet to cover against the Dolphins at New Meadowlands stadium.

this is a very comparable situation that the eagles faced yesterday..

albeit the Jets are at home.. 

I see the Jets winning this in the the 34-17 range....

I see them scoring often..  i see there defense causing turnovers and scoring as well..

but i also see there high risk defense getting burned a few times, allowing the Phins to score..

I thought they played NE decently given the projected disparity of talent level between the 2 teams. Jets are a mid-tier team but the dolphins are pretty much bottom-feeders. Seeing Miami lose 17-16 to Cleveland on a 4th quarter td drive by Colt McCoy of all people has me feeling confident even in Sanchez.

I say they played 3 out of the five best teams in the league in that, minus oakland who maybe top 8 this year, in terms of offense

the jets had 0 chance against new england and i was on the jets +10 and i had to sweat it out that they would even cover and quite frankly they didnt even deserve too. they were dominated the whole game.  and the jets just beat them in the playoffs last year and were supposed to contend for the division but now there is a huge talent disparity? and yes miami lost to cleveland because of their offense so maybe they are actually improving with matt moore...but everyone is acting like this is a pickem...you arent just having faith in sanchez..you re having faith he wins by at least 8 ..which is a lot in the nfl. basically ill take a +7 nfl bottom feeder against a mid tier team 7 days a week no matter what the outcome.. gl

I was on nyj +9.5 in that one so I know the feeling. And for the record, I would choose the jets side in this game but I'm not on them (because I'm not about to pay -115 for -7 when I could have had -6.5 earlier at -110.) I just got a small action teaser on NYJ PK/U 49. gl, hope we both win
