Let me first say, i happen to enjoy Mike Greenberg on the radio. Personally, i think Golic is a nice guy, but adds nothing to Mike and Mike in the morning. I think anyone in this forum can do what Golic does. (great he can give insight about lineman)............but these 2 guys in the booth along with steve young for a MNF game are just AWFUL.......................they are jabbering back and forth all game just like their show like 4th graders havging a sports argument..................
is it to hard to ask three guys doing a football game to know the rules?????
when they were reviewing that raider TD before the half (that was eventually taken away) ALL THREE were convinced the TD would stand...............Steve Young went as far to say as, "they can take the TD away but it would be WRONG according to the rules"..................
Both greenie and Golic were convinced the call would stand "as he had 2 feet down"
when the call was overturned and they had egg in their face, Golic goes (like he often does on his radio show) "well i dont agree with the rule" .
UM, golic, how about KNOWING the rule before not liking it
golic than starts off the second half all professional "i just went to the replay booth to get an explanation"
Dude the rules in the NFL are clear.............u need to maintain the ball through the fall to the ground...........than again repeated "i really dont agree with the rule...2 feet down should be enough"
these guys must learn, during a game we dont care about their dumb opinions.....they have 4 hours every morning to stuff those down our throats....during a telecast just know the rules....make it an easy listen PLEASE

I was probably a bit rough on Golic............i happen to like both of them.....just wish they would know the rules of the games they call..............is it asking to much for announcers to know rules????

No you're not..If you don't know then don't open your pie-hole and don't offer yourself to announce when you obviously don't know how...This isn't Sunday school lesson

I love on Mike and Mike when Golic says "again" then repeats exactly what he just said, because he lacks the ability to elaborate on any single thought. Sometimes Greeny will even call him out on it, it's embarrassing. And Greeny is much more of a radio personality than a sports broadcaster. Have you ever noticed that he has two distinclty different voices? One for the show and one for sportscenter.

the call was very borderline. The receiver didn't really lose control of the ball, it did hit the ground, but he still had his arm under the ball. It is a dumb rule, because let's say that if you get 2 feet down and go out of bounds, it's a catch, but 2 feet down, hold the ball for a sec, hit the ground, ball hits the ground, it's not as catch? Just inconsistent.
They did change the old rule, but they should look at it again. I've seen the same type of play called a catch, many times, and it was ruled a catch on the field, so I don't think there was indisputable eveidence to overturn it.

They do sound weird broadcasting the game, i have to admit. Steve Young is ok, i think he could be an asset in the booth but they have to do something about the other 2. Greenberg is a media child who will always have a job ( doing nothing ) as long as his mouth keeps running with pointless drivel. Ive heard him say he " has respect for the position as a media member " what a joke....He has respect fooling everyone on the fact that he actually works for a living..
Typical media type, Part salesman Part lazy unathletic box with no experience sweating or engaging in physical labor of any kind... At least Golic played in the NFL and Steve Young has a law degree,I can respect that. Greenberg is a product of nepetisim...

well if your runing out of bounds its a cathc, but if you do a tiptoe catch on the sideline and fall and the samething happens with the ball coming loose it would be incomplete.
