It is just showing that the decision isnt as "dumb" as you make it out to be. Pretty close to a 50/50. Just an answer to your argument that it was a terrible decision.

@vanzack Yes, I see a generic formula that doesn't seem to take into account strengths and weaknesses of the teams. It just says with this much time on the clock, with this particular score, including the down and distance, any team should be able to win X percentage of the time if they choose one scenario over the other. All things are not created equally with these teams, especially when it comes to play-calling and how good/bad teams are on offense/defense.

I'm sorry you can never convince me a 9 pt lead is a bad thing vs a bad offense that isn't going to score twice. A 6 pt lead is way more vulnerable then a 9 pt lead.
There's no point in betting NFL spreads any more half your bets are decided by stupid decisions that were automatic in years past and now every coach thinks they're a fkin computer.
