These guys stink. Period....the only thing these two know about football is that they cannot play it.
Let me be clear on this one....any DUNCE can sit there and figure out whom are the biggest, strongest and fastest pups in the litter. Seriously...we have at least 2 years of game film on everyone in the draft, and these clowns sit there and talk about how important 1/100th of a second in the 40 is at the combine to a guy's potential success as a pro. What a joke. News flash: usually the biggest winners on paper are the biggest losers on the field.
The sensible move is to scrap the combine and make the teams rely on game scouts, film analysis and send these idiots to the unemployment line. Kiper and Mayock's opinions are canned, made for tv BS.
Oh yeah, and before I go, when these guys come on and slam a prospect like Jarvis Jones' for his slow 40, or Matt Barkeley for USC's record last year, they are affecting the financial futures of these players. They both deserve an azz-kicking for that.
And yes, Barkeley has what it takes to play in the NFL for the next 10 years (maybe not star but play), and Jarvis Jones wrecks shop in the middle. Those guys are good football players, to pass on them is something Mayock and Kiper would do. They would also go 2-14 in the NFC west.
Never Make A Winner A Loser. Never.

Those guys get paid to stir people up with their idiotic statements. If they said nothing controversial nobody would watch.
Being in Pac-12 country I can say with confidence that Barkley is a carbon copy of previous USC QB failures (Sanchez, Leinhart, John David Booty, etc). The guy is garbage. Anybody can throw short passes to Robert Woods and Marqise Lee and put up good numbers.

Booty never got a shot to play....he got lost in the shuffle just like Brian Brohm did from Louisville.
Not a fan of Sanchez either, but Leinhart was a soft lefty...it was pretty easy to see where he would have some troubles.
Like I said, Barkeley can spot start and backup in the league for the next ten years if he doesn't blow his body up. There is no way that the guys that are being touted at QB ahead of him are better investments. Geno Smith is a system QB (funny how that is never said), EJ Manuel already looks like he is 35.....guys like Glennon and Tyler Bray are big guys, but threw too many games away single handedly.
I guess Nassib is a decent player, but I would take a guy like Barkeley in the second round because he has played as a true freshman and has had to deal with the media scrutiny his whole life. Good value there in the second round.

If I were an NFL team needing a QB this draft class is depressing. You have to have a strong QB to win in this league and I don't see anyone in this class that's like that. Last year was filled with multiple franchise QB's...Luck, Griffin and Wilson. This year, nothing.

You can tell the teams that pay far more attention to film than combine numbers, they're the ones paying lots of scouts. They also tend to be the most consistently successful as they avoid Haywood-Beys. Must be a coincidence.

Really? You don't think Luck, Wilson and Griffin are franchise QB's. If I were building a team and had the choice of any QB's in the league Luck and Wilson would be in my top 10. RGIII may as well if I could find an offense to run that wouldn't get him killed.

Yeah, that's what I thought as well. In the NFL you "don't get lost in the shuffle". If you're good you separate yourself and earn a job. If not, you'll be out of the league real soon. Brian Brohm was not an NFL QB either, which is why he didn't last long.
