Maclin would have a shot if Reid would let him.  For all the hype, I doubt he gets alot of opportunities.  Right or wrong, hardheaded Reid will play Curtis over Maclin most of the time.  Might be the right call to start as word is that Maclins routes need polishing.  Route running can't be THAT hard can it?  He will be big in the return game though for sure.
 
Anyway, Cornelius Ingram may make the bigger rookie impact on offense.  Lots and lots of great comments on this guy already.  I kind of remember him from 2 yrs ago (pre-injury).  I hope their right.

yeah I was off on Ryan that's for sure   nobody knows how a rookie will pan out

But I have seen Romo play plenty of Games in the NFL and he seriously reminds me of JP Losman just with a better line in front of him

romo is great at escaping pressure. jp losman couldnt hear 3 rhino's coming towards him.  Do you have a history of memory loss? Not sure why he would remind you of Losman. Romo does have a knack for making a bonehead play here and there, I cannot lie. Whereas that's ALL jp does. strong arm to waste.

I should have said Romo Reminds me of Losman while playing in Dec. Games ....  

 No One is as Bad as JP Loserman ... If JP ever plays another down in the NFL or CFL i will be shocked

Man, its crazy what JP Losman has become. I watched him in high school and he was such a stud. Then he gets a scholarship to UCLA, which obviously pissed me off, and then does something weird and end up in Tulane. But hey, he made his money.

Stafford has $40+ Million in his wallet.  What the hell does he care anymore if he's a bust?

HE'S ALREADY WON THE GAME!

I cannot wait, and I mean, CANNOT WAIT, for the day that a top 3 draft pick gets drafted, signs a huge contract with big guaranteed money ($10+ Million), and then just sags, sucks, and basically torpedoes himself out of football on purpose so he can spend the rest of his life rich.

If the Rams take Dorsey, and it comes down to Ryan or Chris Long I might take Chris Long. The Falcons have the oft-injured John Abraham and apparent 1st round bust from last year, Jamaal Anderson, so they'll need the DE help.


LOL, thanks for bumping this thread. My hesitation was quickly allayed after game 1. And still, one year later, the Falcons still need help at DE.

I think that already happened with Ryan Leaf didn't it?   He was paid 11 million his first year if I remember correctly.

To this point in Romo's career he has put up the best numbers in the storied history of the Cowboys, not to mention some of the best numbers in the history of the NFL.

Your comments about Romo choking in December do carry a little weight, but there has not been nearly enough games to classify the guy as a choke artist. Also, there are plenty of stats to suggest that Romo is at his best in the 4th quarter, and with the game on the line ... Tony Romo: Situational Stats

To compare Romo to Lossman shows you are a person who is blinded by a bias.

Romo?  the best at anything except choking?  Please.  Until he proves himself and wins a playoff game, he is nothing more than a choke artist.  How many losses do you need to call it like it is?  Isn't 3 years of failure enough to call it like it is?  Isn't 4-10 with 2 playof losses enough to convince the average person, and even Dallas homers?  You csn come up with al the stats that you want, but this guy is a bust in the clutch.  Ther are 10 QB's that I would take over him in a playoff game, including the Qb he is playing against, whomever that may be.  The next thing you will be telling us is that he is a Top 5 QB in the NFL.

im sticking with it , it was perfect for him  expectations of team were low , great running game , very good receivers and a ,very good offensive line  but once they became a playoff team if you look at his play it wasnt really good , his play tailed off big time, lets see how he does now that expectation are higher , and so is the presure , i still think when its all done ,for the money he got , he will be a bust , sorry im sticking with it , like i said before saw every game he played for BC , and as a pro , lets see how he is this year

Romo is to me, what pAy-RiOD is to baseball. 

Doing great things in the regular season  has to be given some credit for, however, we all know how you will be judged.

In the times when it matters the most, with the spotlight on. 

Throwing 325 + with 3 TD's vs. Cincy in week 5 is the same as hitting 3 Hr in the , 1st, 3rd and 7th in of a 10 run win vs. KC  in Jun.

*** And just remember, since he is in the news lately, EVEN Vick has taken his team to the 2nd RD of the playoffs, and his team was not as talented.
