Will not be a problem on Sunday.

I played a lot of sports growing up - some of my best games were when I was injured. You can get into more of a focus or something.

Just something to keep in mind - His ankle is not going to impact this game.

He’s injured and won’t be nearly as mobile so he will have serious pressure . He going to have to play like Brady to win .

Exactly. What makes Mahomes so dangerous is his mobility when the play breaks down. He is the best in the league at keeping them alive with his legs and making some miraculous play. He will have to play a very good game from the pocket. The best thing KC has going for them is their pass rush. If they can get to Burrow the game will be down to the wire. Otherwise Bengals might be on their way to the superbowl.

Depends on what grade the sprain is. I’m sure that info will leak out at some point this week.

Theres no possible way he plays "better" with this injury----Henne was responsible for one td, and the K.C. offense was pretty muted after Mahomes returned.

The KC O-line has stepped up after Mahomes' ankle injury in the Divisional game, the O-line only gave up six pressures to the Jacksonville pass rush, and yielded no sack. In terms of sacks in the 2022 regular season, Cincy ranked #29 and Jacksonville is #26.

It's more likely Mahomes is shut down by the franchise and allow him to heal for many future seasons to come. He has nothing to prove as his legend status only grew after he came back in the 2H once the pain meds and shots completely numbed his ankle enough to keep going solely based on heart and adrenaline.

Anyone who has anything negative to say about Mahomes can go suck it...

I did the same exact thing in college. Sprained my ankle, came out of the game. I put an ice pack on it, tried to loosen it up. Came back in the game, was able to play on it, even made a cut to fake out a DB on a scramble, and at the end of the game threw two TDs and we won in OT.

The next day when I got out of bed and put weight on my foot was one of the most painful things I've ever felt in my life. I thought it must have been broken, because just touching my foot to the ground was excrutiating! But... it wasn't broken, just a high ankle sprain. I was in a boot for 3 weeks, and didn't fully recover for another 3 weeks.

Before douchebags come in and say I'm not Mahommes... NO SHIT! I'm just trying to shed a little light on how this injury affects you. The day of the injury, it hasn't swollen up and stiffened up yet, and you can keep it loose and your adrenalin will help block out the pain.  I assure you... that does NOT mean you don't have a serious injury.

I don't know the severity of his injury. I'm not trying to claim I do. I'm just offering a word of caution to people that think just because he was able to play that game, means he'll be able to play next game... or more importantly, that he'll be able to play effectively on it.

Not gonna say anything more about this topic... I've already said enough.

I really hope he's ok... because I hate the f*cking Bengals and don't really want to see them in the Super Bowl, other than the fact that I bet on them because I think they're the better team, and I think Mahommes is gonna have a problem. I'll be happy to find out that I was wrong...

Yea me too... had what Duderonomy.. happen to me multiple times... Happened to me in HS and D1. The adrenaline is strong as fuck when the injury is fresh and you get through it... but once you go nighty night and wake up the next day you are in for it....

Mahomes hurt his THROWING Foot... there is a reason he didnt make ANY long throws after the injury happened...  The one run he did he looked like a cripple... His injury WILL impact the game immensely. I will say it again it is literally his fucking throwing foot... The JAguars should have adjusted better and stacked the boxthe second half of the game... but they didn't. The Bengals WILL stack it and see if Mahomes can make a downfield throw.... and I'm guessing he won't be able to. I bet a ton on Cincy already and am more afraid if Henne starts.... Right now Mahomes trying to be tough and play through an injury like this is only harming his team... and that is why you should bet Cincy big... I do think Spagnolo will be able to exploit the Bengals oline a lot better than the Bills did though... So I would def be on the Chiefs if Mahomes was 100%.. BUT HE AINT

They ran the ball damn near every play they didn’t absolutely have too
