AHH, I really don't believe this kind of stuff. In life, through it all, I can say I have EIGHT true friends through 34 years of walking this earth. 8 people I would take a bullet for. One of those 8 is a black dude. Knowing him for years, I've heard terrible stories and even witnessed some racism aimed at him first hand. Its a terrible thing and it sucks that some people are just born or raised with HATRED in them. Now I'm no angel. I, and I believe EVERYONE on this planet has some sort of racism in them. If you think I never watched a basketball game in my younger days and when someone made a bone headed play or missed a FT and cost me money, that I didnt hurl a racial slur at my TV. Or my buddy who I am the godfather of his first born who is Jewish, that I didnt throw more person jokes at him and his family over the years than Cartman at Kyle on South Park. Difference between 85% of the country having a touch of racism in them and the other 15% is true TRUE hated. That's where things become ugly. To just hate someone, to not give someone a chance in life because of skin color or ethnicity is an awful thing.
Back to my buddy. He's a black dude and as standup a guy as anyone I've had the pleasure to know over the years. He's a strong guy. He's intelligent. The times in his life he was unfortunate enough to encounter hatred through racism, he let it bounce off him and it never broke his spirit. He dealt with BS from grade school through high school through random encounters anywhere from the local mall or local bar or club, cops pulling him over for no reason, or from a racist dad mad that he was hooking up with his white daughter, and for the most part he navigated through all of this BS like a champion without ever losing his self respect and dignity. As a good friend of his and seeing some of this stuff first hand, I KNOW its not easy when so many people blindly hate. And there were times where he had to step up and defend himself in situations where someone was so rude or so out of line because of blind BS hate and bigotry that there was no choice but to step up into a confrontation or else lose of his self respect.
I guess what I'm trying to say is my buddy doesn't need catch phrases like "hate crime" and "racially motivated" defense from some slugs in the media or some people in a football forum who feel the need to defend him and ALL black men and women out there when something bad happens. He doesn't need anonymous white knights(no pun intended at all) in the media defending him. He doesn't need politicians looking for a vote to come to his defense everytime some a$&hole drops an N bomb. Because he's a smart and STRONG dude and he can handle bullsh1t like that on his own. Because he's a MAN. And you put him on the Dolphins and some bonehead like Incognito is messing with him, my boy would handle it like a man. Whether he used brains to rally his teammates against the jerkoff, or he used his balls to punch him in the face after leaving a voice mail like that. He doesn't need HATE CRIME or RACIALLY MOTIVATED thrown around and he certainly doesn't need some douchebags on ESPN saying the politically correct thing as if they are speaking and "defending" all of black America. Most African Americans, or Asians, or person, or Ricans DO NOT need that. They can take care of themselves.
At end of the day, we are all people and all fighting life in the same boat. Some people handle things the right way IMO and some people don't.
And besides all that, while hate crime and racially motivated are getting thrown around......I'm sure with that voice mail getting out to the press and RI dropping N bombs, this thread won't be the last time u will hear those two phrases tossed around as this story develops. Lets say RI is a terrible racist. Lets say he picked on this guy ruthlessly and racially. Are you telling me on a football team that is probably 65% African American, that RI was a horrible racist and brutalizing this guy racially with hatred, and none of the black dudes on that team stepped in? No one said WHOA ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and defended him? I do not believe it. There's something wrong with this guy somehow or someway IMO for all this "hazing" to me going on and he didnt have a single teammate or coach in his corner. Something is wrong with this picture.
I don't mean to get so deep on a gambling forum. I hope I got my point out without it being too muddled or hurting anyone's feelings. Lol. I should be more pissed that I lost a half unit on GB AND got knocked out my suicide pool because of Rodgers getting hurt on first drive of the game! Bears played well and there's a chance they still cover even with A-Rod in the game, but I certainly feel like packers would have won SU. But its my own fault. I have a few rules for suicife pools(ice win a few in my time). Rule 1, never ever take a road team unless your back is against the wall. Rule 2, never ever pick a team in a divisional rivalry no matter for bad your opponent may be. I broke rule 2 and my back wasnt against the wall. The way things shook out, and with my available teams, it was Dallas, and I was deathly afraid Minny was gonna pummel them, out physical them, run all over them, control the clock, and possibly beat them outright. I wasnt completely wrong, but I went with GB, broke my own rule and it bit me in the a$$.

Hey Hawk, u mean Incognito or Martin? If you are talking about Martin, the more and more I hear about this guy, the more I find something strange about the whole situation. Glyde hillarious bro. My thought on this is incognito is a moron and should b cut and martin is a pu$$y. He shoulda confronted him in front of whole team in locker room or practice field. Fight woulda been broken up in seconds and boom he woulda ended the whole thing but he literally handles it like a grade school kid going to the principles office and tattle tailing and even releasing voicemail to media. Clearly it was incognito taking it way overboard but come on u dont run from something like that as a man u confront it head on and anyone who says different has been a pu$$y their whole life

Even DJ Hayden was saying how they do funny stuff to the rookies but it's all fun and games and if you don;t want to do it...you stand up and say bruh, im not doin it. Period...be a man have a voice. You have to set the line, don;t let another person set your line. He either should have reported it right when it happnened or never again. Listen life is hard enough we do not need bullying of fighting.We do not know what a person has gone through previously .Bottom line do not do to others what you would not want done to yourself. Trying not to preach but I am 46 a father of 3 and have seen a lot of crap in my life.
Lets try and live what time we have on this earth in a pleasant manner. We need more stories about good deeds. I do not take crap believe me but I am no longer a kid there are better ways to handle fool. Both guys in this instance have problems.

Lol, u wanna hear a true story? You remember a MLB player named Jack Cust?? Long story short, New Year's Eve, at huge upscale party in NYC. A former mets player who was traded to the Rockies(I can't Rememver his name for the life of me) is at this party with a few of his baseball buddies(I remember the whole party was buzzing when he strolled in). One is teammate Jack Cust. I'm kicking it to a girl outside at 4am as the entire party is emptying out of this cathedral that was converted into a huge NYE party. Who is next to me talking trash at me for no reason and laughing how I "have no game?" Jack Cust. I tell him to F off. He pushes me. I say don't touch me dude. He pushes me again. I'm saying "touch me again and I'm....." Boom, he pushes me and I grab him in a headlock, wrap my legs around his one leg, get all the leverage and gave him an Indian burn while screaming NOOGIE NOOGIE NOOGIE at the top of my lungs and cackling.
I throw him down. It gets broken up. My crew with me. His crew about 25 feet away with him. I'm watching him though. His boys are kinda breaking his balls and he's getting red in the face. My buddy even says watch out this isn't over. Next thing u know Jack Cust who was a beast and at the time probably bigger than me(back in 2003 I was prob 6 foot 1 215 pounds) bull rushes me. I step aside and using his momentum, smash his head into this NYPD trailer at the curb. He goes down. On his knees seeing stars.
Now even then I could have knocked his teeth out with a death blow, but its not in me. So I kinda did a running kick/push to his chest and put him on his back. Next thing u know its a 10 on 10 brawl. Cops come and pepper spray us all and we spent 3 hours in a NYC drunk tank. Next day, cops let us all out(was 8 of my crew locked up). Cop says get lost, baseball players aren't pressing charges. That made me think. Met dude(can't think of his name still) was there. He was now a Rockie. Cop said baseball player.....So went online and got team pictures of both the mets and Rockies that year and we all pointed out JACK CUST was the culprit.
Moral of my story....LOL I have no idea. I guess I'm no bully by any means, but I'll always ALWAYS defend myself.
That BS has absolutely nothing to do with anything, apart from you trying make yourself look good.

So not sure if anyone points this out yet.. maybe just repeating.....
But this has now become a national issue B/C of the following.....
1. Guy is smart and from a smart family, standford and harvard grads...
2. New National MoM campaign is about Bullying... sorry MADD
3. ESPN is having OTHER PEOPLE read his statements... This gives the 95% of people who form their opinion THE WORST POSSIBLE PERCEPTION of the phone call.. I.E. not being able to hear how he said it... ECT...
NOT saying what INcognito did or said was OK...
But I also am Starting to believe that this kid is doing everything he can to fan the flames...
I will say that regardless of the outcome, this whole situation has become a very sad story and I feel bad for both men...

It's a fact that Richie I. was on the list of 2-3 NFL teams as "DO NOT DRAFT BECAUSE OF CHARACTER!"....Ditto for Hernandez....This is quite simple to me....An ESPN analyst and several former NFL players(Ex.....Mike Ditka.) have said the same...."You clean your dirty laundry in your own home"....Incognito should have been confronted right then and there, stood up to and told "the garbage is over!"....By who?....The Oakland Raiders coach says HE is responsible for his players "in the locker" conduct....This is probably not true in many other NFL locker rooms....So, why didn't Martin directly confront him in view of other players????....Or go to the coach?....To me, that's how it should have been handled....He obviously kept it pinned inside!
It's also noteworthy that Martin is receiving in patient treatment at a mental facility...., Sadly,he no doubt has and has had some problems, and could not get himself to deal with this as a result.......This may have put the icing on the cake...Scattered and hidden amongst this is the truth, which we will probably never know...And I agree that there is SO MUCH more to this story....But, I believe Martin hits the Dolphins AND the NFL with big lawsuits and will not play again.....The garbage will hit the fan soon!.....
