How exactly does a team smoke and mirror their way to 15-2, and the #1 seed?

According to nfl power index, the Lions #6 sos, Eagles #28 sos.

According to dvoa, Detroit is #2(34.8%)

Philly is #5(21.3%)

According to Sagarin, Detroit is #1(29.97) the Eagles are #3(27.01)

The Lions have one more win than the Eagles. All these rankings are relatively lined up.

So if the Lions are smoke n mirrors, what does that make the Eagles? Harry Houdini?

C70-Blues Let me put some numbers to my homer Lions bias. My first game I watched the Lions was in the old Tigers Stadium at the corner of Michigan and Trumbull in 1967 that's 58 years ago have stuck with them through thick and thin and I will tell you there have been a lot of thin listen to all the bullshit why would you cheer for a loser team like the Lions and on and on through their 0-16 season still hung with them and now I have earned everything and anything I mention about the Lions and yes I am really really hoping for at least a SB game this year not saying they are going to win it that would be a bonus. Through those 58 years I have bet for them and against them I don't bet with my heart. Like I said I have earned it.

Everything you said there has nothing to do with handicapping and this is a betting forum. You are a total homer, I get it, but aren't there websites where die hard fans like yourself can go and yell Go Lions to each other?
