BTW, I also wrote in another thread, Mafioso's: I am a black person, not African American and not American African, son of two fine black athletes who also happened to be black (how surprising), and we all live happily in France after both enjoyed successful basketball careers in Europe. Dad enjoyed it even more as he was able to play longer while my mom got injured early and we were just travelling with dad to see his games in European leagues and cups. There is racism everywhere from everyone towards everyone. That is part of life. IT IS YOUR CHOICE TO BE PART OF IT OR AFFECTED BY IT. Same goes for a religion which in most cases is doing it's job trying to replace the society and parents in educating people and teaching them to be kind. All three of monotheistic religions do that. How some butt holes choose to interpret it or use it and abuse it is their own problem. Not mine for sure.Freedom of choice is the best choice we ever had and will have and France and America are pioneers of that choice both copying person at first the ancient hebrews were founded on that base  - and their later versions as Christians and Muslims. We are all brothers whether you like it or not. Degenerate brothers and sisters. So, here's one big Cheers to our degeneracy and now let's get back to our regular programming!!!

Am I the only one that thinks Colin Kaepernick is a coward here?  It seems clear to me that his career is over and he feels it.  When you lose your job to Blaine Gabbert, there's no coming back from that.  He knows he's done, he's too much of a coward to quit like a man, so he gets "kicked out" or "blackballed" or whatever you want to call it.

Protesting by disrespecting the American flag is similar same thinking as to blame a weapon for a mass shooting.Makes about as much sense as putting a bag of excrement on a child head to potty train the child.

Yahweh, the God of the Bible, is a Nationalistic/Militaristic/War God.  The first paragraph of the wikipedia page on Yahweh will tell you that.  All other Gods of Ancient Israel were eventually denied, making Yahweh the one true God of the Bible.  I remember my buddy marrying a Catholic girl, and people saying, "who the hell is Yahweh?"  You'll hear the name at any Catholic wedding.

One example I always cite is 1 Sam 15.  The Lord commands Saul to "destroy all of the Amalekites, women and children, cattle and sheep" etc.  Saul destroys almost everything, but brings back the best cattle and sheep, so prophet Samuel says, "what is this bleating of sheep in my ears."  Basically, "why didn't destroy everything like the Lord said, you dummy!"  Basically, "your genocide wasn't good enough!  the Lord said total genocide, stupid!!  Now you've pissed him off cause you didn't 'destroy absolutely everything!!'"

Another good one is Psalm 137, of "By the Rivers of Babylon" fame, ie the Reggae/Sublime song.  The last verse is "happy is he who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks."  Hmm, that's not a very nice way to get back at someone, kill their infants by throwing them against rocks.

Christianity is not the "true religion of love."  It's founded on as much violence as anything on the planet, including Islam.  How else could the first Americans have killed off 98% of the indigenous people in the Americas unless they found justification for it in their religious teachings?  See the book American Holocaust, by David Stannard.

I'm not anti Christian or anti religion of any sort.  I just happened to study it in college.
