DURING THE NFL SEASON 11 OUT OF 512 GAMES WERE DECIDED BY 2 POINTS OR LESS (2.1%) AND 41 WERE DECIDED BY 3 POINTS (8%).....

SO BASED ON STATS, DO THE ODDS FAVOR A BETTER TO
TAKE A HIGHER POINT SPREAD.

FOR EXAMPLE...5 DIMES OFFERS CINCINNATI -1 AT -120 OR
CINCINNATI -2.5 AT -103.

for myself I would prefer to lay the lower point spread regardless of the money line.&#xD;&#xA;If I had a choice of a dog plus 3 -120 or a dog -2 1/2 -110 I would take the 3 and lay -120.

it&#x27;s only the matter of a few bucks on the ml, however in this case the point and a half statistically may not be very beneficial...flip a coin..

critical number such as 3, 7 or possibly 6 then may be buy it but as for 1 and 2.5, I said f**k it. I understand that there is a chance it might hit within that range but in the long run, it's not worth it. With such a short line, I think it's either dog win SU or fav covers.

Bag the 2.5 even with the anticipation of a low scoring game.&#xD;&#xA;You could also do a combo of the two. I&#x27;m not big on taking 1 or 2 points. I&#x27;d take the risk and go moneyline with the dog and often do at &#x2B;3.&#xD;&#xA;Another example. If you like the Ravens at &#x2B;3 &#x2B;105, I&#x27;d go ML at &#x2B;150. Most would rather play it safe, but I like the &#x2B;150, especially if you have it in a 2 teamer. The payouts go from 2.6 to 3.8 times your stake.&#xD;&#xA;BOL

Take the ML on 3 or less. You cannot handicap within the 3 number. 40 % swing on a 8% factor . Do the math.

those #&#x27;s are for season as a whole, this year there were so many dd spreads those #&#x27;s have to be tainted.I would be curious to see some #&#x27;s for, playoffs, rematches, and for games with spreads under a tdI know myself that I&#x27;ve been clipped by a half point a few times under 3 in the playoffs over the last couple years

just re-read the title of thread that wasn&#x27;t contained in the body, didn&#x27;t realize that you were referring only to spreads of 3 or less, my badstill be interested in playoff stats
