Green Bay laying 6 vs Chicago is interesting to me.
Is this a case of the books dont believe in Chicago or do they think that bettors dont believe in Chicago?
To me it smells like Green Bay by double digits, but that rushing attack vs a strong Philly defense shows you its for real. Will the Packers defense be able to stop it better than Philly?

Bears should have lost to the Bengals (last drive missed tackle on Loveland was unacceptable), lost to Raiders (Geno was absolutely awful 2nd half and Bears blocked FG at end), and they only beat the Giants at home because Dart was knocked out with a concussion. Win vs Eagles was impressive.
Ben Johnson has definitely turned this offense into something semi functional, but they won't win if they can't run. But they have been running well for weeks. I still see them as frauds with their point differential not adding up with that record.

Kind of my thoughts, this line is telling me Green Bay is the right side

We keep hearing this every week. And the Bears keep winning.
There's something about coaching, belief, team chemistry, and other factors that can't be quantified on paper that the Bears have right now.
Since week 3 the Bears point differential is +40. Green Bay's is +45. Fwiw

The line told us that Philly was the right side last week as well, both teams were 8-3 heading into that game.
All I'm saying is to be careful with this Bears team if you are going to be putting your hard earned $ against them right now. They are out scheming everyone they play, both on offense and defense.
You know the saying...."do you want to get in front of a freight train?" Kudos to you if you hit it right, there's always a time and place.

Belief is a hell of a drug. For real though Ben Johnson is awesome and this team believes. There really is a huge belief factor that can't be distilled into data. It affects everything even down to how well the offensive line blocks. If they dont believe the team is going anywhere and they don't believe that a positive play can happen how well will they block? If the defense doesnt believe the offense can score how long will they continue to make that tiny extra effort that is the difference between stopping a guy in the backfield and giving up a 20 yard run

You're right, although I say that Green Bay is the right side I wont be betting it. I just thought it was interesting and wanted to discuss. I did get smoked betting eagles on Friday. Im not stepping in front of this Bears train again. I will watch and enjoy the game and look for prop opportunities

The Bears are who we thought they were and regression should creep in here.....they have been playing well, I'll give them that, but I can't see this continuing....
Sorry sac, but hey you are in 1st place and I bet you never thought that would happen this season...

I was skeptical at first(as I always am) as a Bears fan. I just can't argue with the results at this point. The coaches that they've hired for Ben Johnson are quite incredible.
The Bears Oline coach is Dan Roushar. A dude with 41 years experience. They convinced him to come out of retirement, possibly Dennis Allen having some influence back in his Saints days. Check out this bio:
The Saints o line in those years under Roushar were phenomenal.
The Bears also brought in Eric Bienemy for RB's coach. High intensity guy with a wealth of knowledge from his KC days. He's an ex nfl RB who was pretty damn good.
Antwaan Randle is the Bears WR coach. Spent 4 years with the Lions and BJ. He's an ex nfl WR who was pretty damn good.
The Bears didn't look all too good in the preseason. They looked bad in the first 2 weeks of the season. Although things have started clicking.
I will be the first to say that they haven't played a complete game until Philly. They've won a bunch of close games and some in comeback fashion. A bunch of players have been hurt, but what team doesn't have injuries?
They are getting healthy, have great depth apparently, and still making improvements every week.

There's more to the Bears than most people know.

LG Joe Thuney. Why did KC not want to pay him? At first I thought "oh shit, KC doesn't want him something must be wrong". He hasn't given up a sack this year. He has been to 6 SB's, 3 with the Pats, 3 with KC. Think he's won 4 of them.
C Chris Dalman. At first I was worried that he spent his career in Atlanta playing on mostly turf. Also I wasn't sure why Atlanta didn't pony up for him, a center of this caliber is ubber valuable. Well it's the Falcons, they make a lot of dumb moves. The Bears haven't had a good center since Olin Kreutz. And most of them have been sub par.
RG Jonah Jackson. His first 4 years were with Detroit with Ben Johnson. He made the pro bowl in 2021. He started to sustain injuries in his final year with Detroit. Last year with the Rams he played in only 4 games. The Bears gave him a shot this year and he's luckily been healthy.
LT Ozzy Trapilo. Drafted in the 2nd round from BC, he did not start the season as a starter. He's only starter 2 games filling in for Theo Benedet. Word is that he has stolen his job, he's been that good. Playing next to Joe Thuney doesn't hurt.
They have a big test against Micah Parsons for sure. But I'd suspect that they'll run the ball at him a lot. He's a great pass rusher, not so much of a run stopper. The Packers will also be without DT Devonte Wyatt. He fractured his ankle vs the Lions. And starting MLB Quay Walker has missed the last 2 games. Keep an eye on his staus.

I didnt know you were a Bears fan. Im a Bills fan, but Im rooting for the Bears big time and I love to watch them. They are my NFC fandom. I became a fan because I felt I saw something in Caleb Williams last year and my buddies all kept saying he's garbage and I kept telling them they're wrong. And then when Ben Johnson came over I felt really good about it.
The Bears offensive line is for sure one of the best in the league. If you look at their matchups each week the O Line has a sizeable advantage over D Lines every week. The rushing attack they've built is so fun to watch.
Their defense is underrated too bc they've had so many key guys out all year. When they are healthy this defense is going to be legit. They are doing a good job of bend but dont break right now and the interceptions wow.
I think running against the Eagles would be more difficult than Green Bay, but we'll see what happens. The eagles just dont look motivated this year so that game mightve been more about them than Chicago

Eagles wings are clipped...only way they fly is off a cliff and that is momentarily
I give the Bears a hard time because I can't stand nail polish boy but that goes from knowing him and watching him play at USC...kid didn't have the skills even in college to make it in the NFL as an elite QB everyone made him out to be...he played in a conference in college that made him look better than he is, but the Bears O line early on was simply not blocking for the kid and he was on the run and under duress almost every snap.......Caleb is too small to be a pocket passer..his best chance, and where he looked best even in college, was outside the pocket...this is where his comfort is and you can see that in the NFL....he likes to scramble and be out on the edges because he can see the field much better and plays open up for him there and he is used to that from USC...he was most effective then and is doing so on this run the Bears are having...he is also getting much better line play and a run game...
There may be hope for the kid, but the offensive scheme being put together is working for him....can it last, we shall see, but I'm not sold on this kid just yet, but his play has vastly improved over this win streak...

Yea he definitely excels running and throwing outside the pocket. He does need to get on time more and make the correct first read plays more and stop twirling around 10 yds back. But he has real arm talent and he makes some incredible throws. That's what I saw in him last year is in between the bad stuff you could see the talent was there when he'd make some absolutely amazing plays.
