Hakeem Nicks was a nobody until Manning put him on the map. um, the problem with your argument here... is that Marvin Harrison was a nobody until Peyton put him on the map... in fact, Marvin Harrison was the odds on favorite to be the biggest bust in that entire draft class when he came into the NFL...
you can't compare their WRs this way... because in both cases, you can argue that the QBs are the reason the WRs are considered to be so good... it is a completely moot argument...
the one thing we do know, is that Peyton Manning controls the line of scirmmage like no QB in the history of the game (with the possible exception of Dan Marino)... Eli hasn't even come close to reaching that level yet...
until he does, Peyton and Marino are still miles ahead of everybody who has ever played the game...
