take all your stats about past games teams seasons percentages white jersey black jersey rain snow and throw them in the garbage, this is one game with these two teams not any past teams and the better team will win which will be the pats and yes they will cover. you can find a hundred past stats to back every single team every single week, they mean shit. its one matchup between the two teams playing that week and the team that executes better wins plain and simple.

Some more stats:
Since 1990, we have never had both #2 seeds play each other in the bowl................
When there are two #2 seeds playing in the championship games, one has lost SU & the other has won SU 9 of 11 times in 21 years the situation came up..................9-2............82%...........
So if the Ravens lose SU, take the 49ers
If the Ravens win SU, take the Giants

I should state I could only go back to 1990 & the #2 seeds havent played each other in the bowl game.........
I found that I can go back to 1985 & still the #2 seeds didnt play each other in the bowl game, thats 26 years...............

PTB - though I like the Ravens to cover, I'd be more worried about that 1 than your 49'rs play. Balty's D is damn good but not the dominant 1 it once was & their pass rush matters more than anything. The toughest thing to defend in football is the well executed pass play - nobody does that better & with more variety than Brady & the Pats except maybe Brees/NO in their house. Only reason I lean to Balty covering is I think they'll be able to put up enough pts thru a balanced attack on a weak to mediocre Pats D even if it comes late. But when & if Brady & that O gets rollin, obviously a td is nothin - 1st qtr & half should tell the story. GL

Well it took a week to finally convince myself that I will take the points and the Ravens come Sunday. To me this was the tougher of the two to pick....I think this is the last chance for that aging defense to win another shot at a ring....But my Giants will finally get their 2001 SB revenge. This has been eating me up for the last decade....Win one for me Mr. (MVP SB 2001) Ray Lewis and see what a real team with both an offense and defense will do to your ...........I can't even come up with any negatives that I believe are true for the HOFer. I just want a shot at redemption. He's such a great player, but I still want to kick your ass.
