New England should blow them out right?
Or is Vegas tipping their hand setting the line at 9.5?

As of now I am going with this angle as I usually look to talent first I see Houston being a more talented defensive team regardless of what took place earlier this season in week 14.
I just believe Vegas knows exactly what theyre doing. I believe come playoff time they dont make mistakes setting lines. Especially now with no more college and just 7 games left they know everyone who does bet on football will be betting on this game. Lets start off with Pats are 1-7 last 8 ATS in the playoffs. So as I usually dont buy into past results but this is a telling number as Pats are a heavily public(overvalued) bet team. So Vegas knowingly has to raise the spread on this team especially playoff time. Now Vegas and us also know they will get hit hard with Pats money from the general public as these 2 teams just played eachother 4 weeks ago and we all know what happened. It was a MNF game which everyone watched and a 42-14 thrashing. Houston was getting beat so bad they literally gave up in the 4th and pulled starters extremely early. You have everything pointing to Vegas needing to ask the question "how do we get Houston money"? I am no whiz at this but I would start by going over the key number of 10! Seriously if you really wanted more Houston money then Patriots money you simply go 10.5 or 13.5 based on the reasoning I already gave. Instead they put out a number of 9.5 WTF!!!??? To me they are insisting on taking in a high percentage of Patriots money buy going under the key number of 10. They know damn well they could set it at 13.5 and probably get 50-50 action. Now I know this isnt the only reason to make a play and its not. I aslo see Houston bringing their A game on defense and not getting torched. I also see Houston controlling the clock and playing very slow small ball moving the chains slowly with taking a few deep shots off the play action as they always do but just slower. This is a huge number in the playoffs. I might be wrong and if this spread jumps to 10.5 I think Pats cover. But if it stays I think Vegas is siding with Houston with confidence on this one.

Thats what my buddies are telling me. I was on Bama FYI. But the line looks to low is what I am saying. Last night they clearly where asking for and got Notre Dame money. Your proving my point. They set it too low to get Pats money is my point. Not too high. Last year when Denver came to town I think they set it at 13.5. Now that was set too high to entice Denver money. 9.5 is clearly looking for Pats money IMO.

I know this wasn't your point but to compare the matchup between ND and Bama to Hou and NE is ridiculous.
