Football is getting boring

Question

Too many reviews, TV timeouts, Coach&#x27;s challenges and fake injuries.Not to mention the 2 minute warning.Yikes, I have gotten to the point I tape everything, screw the halftime wager and watch the game in 1 hour 30 minutes or so.Skip over kickoffs (touchback!) and extra points (always good)injuries/ TO/challenges etc, this makes it much better

Play clock is the problem..allowing teams to take so much time in between the plays really makes the game not enjoyable for me. Reason I prefer college football over the NFL

Their are way too many TV timeouts and breaks during the games. I think a college football takes forever to finish, especially on a Natl televised game....NFL has been trying to speed up the game for years...

Is all sports becoming boring. Look at nba flagrant fouls you can score up to 6 pts in one poss. Pro sports became soft. I have to go back to 90s to see some real games. Im more for defense in games and hustle plays. Pro sports became so structured. Baseball changed with Sosa McGwire, basketball scores and players padding stats with ridiculous foul scores and nfl qb position is becoming a joke. Not saying that RG3 and Luck not real deal, but, because the way game is called and adjustment on defense plays, these qb are throwing up stupid numbers. I remember watching old nfc east battles along with afc north. Pro sports has changed because its about hitting hr, throwing tds, and players chucking 40 shots a night to get there 25.

Sorry for rambling but for me Ive seen change in pro sports for awhile now. I think nfl has hit its pinnacle. PSLs and fantasy keeps me in front of my tv rather than trying to get tix for games. Owners are so out of touch with fans and in-game experience is less desirable

This is why soccer is becoming more and more popular in the USA. The clock runs continuously and, although there are not many goals, the ball is almost always in play. The game is over in less than 2 hours, including halftime.

If you think the NFL game is slow on TV, go watch a game live next year. You&#x27;ll be grateful for the commentary, commercials, and replays that provide some sort of interest rather than listening to really bad music being blared over the loudspeakers after every delay.

Unless I have money on the game, I could really care less about who's playing on the TV unless it's one of like 3 teams or so.

For me it's the home team Washington, Dallas, San Francisco (cuz I like Kaepernick), and whatever team Tebow plays for if he starts.

Fantasy sports really can only peak your interest so much.

I can't stand watching basketball anymore really. The teams really don't give a crap until there's about 8 mins left in the 4th, sometimes later. Baseball has always been too slow paced for me, and Hockey won't even have a season.

I am fortunate to go to a lot of Bronco games and this is dead on. Even worse, in Denver, they play the music at an unbearable level, like that makes excitement.I got some tickets for the Lakers/Nuggets from a friend. Down near the court. $250/ticket for a reg season NBA game.Dime for the four.That is crazy (they were a gift to me) who the hell spends that much money to watch that shitty product?

I&#x27;ll agree on the to many commercials part. There doesn&#x27;t need to be a score, commercial, kick off, and then another commercial. I can&#x27;t friggin stand that. Although the replays do slow the game down I love the fact that they help correct some of the blunders made by the officials that would ruin the game.

NFL needs to adapt the NCAA replay rule. Guy in the booth looks at the film.To have the refs run over to the screen and look is so tedious and time consuming.whole thing should take 30-60 seconds.If it ain&#x27;t irrefutable move on.Dec Time outs to three a game, three a half is insane nowadays.Get rid of the two minute warning, what is this thing about anyways?and this is the 21st century, and a billion dollar product, is a  red hankie the best way to challenge a call?

fully agree , i recently started pvring games.. nfl has 1 million commercials/game while ncaa has 5 million ..the whole product is about getting the viewer to buy s.hit rather than watch a well fundamental game now.. thats why nfl/ncaa games are so wild and the playcalling is mindbogglingly idiotic.. the viewer has to be constantly entertained

mattlac3 is right. The Red Zone package is the only way to go.
The only time I don't watch the Red Zone is the 1 game a year I go watch The 49ers when there in Arizona. I love watching Hockey in person but looks like no season this year.

DVR is great because I can record a game and watch it in less than two hours.

Right on about sports being boring. NBA is waste of time. Hate it NFL NCAA football games last way to long. 4 hours is to long. I&#39;ve lost interest in NBA NFL NCAA football/basketball. NHL along with ATP tennis are only sports I care about. Co workers family are brain washed by crap network espn in thinking football basketball are king. Don&#39;t get me started on baseball. Can&#39;t stand that co workers talk about football basketball. They have no clue. No clue at all. I could care less about football baseball basket ball. They hate tennis and hockey. Makes it hell when I like something and others could care less. Screw it I&#39;m going to do my own thing and ignore co workers who would rather get fat watching football basketball while drinking eating pizza. Not worth my time as I won&#39;t hang with them. Sorry for venting but had to blow off steam.
