There is a guru in today's NFL. At least among the coaches. Andy Reid. If you read my previous posts you should know the mastermind behind the Chief's "win but no cover" policy. The other thing Andy Reid represents is the list of values few of the Super Bowl winning coaches in the league underwent studying while working under him. The most important value is "do not embarrass an opposing head coach" under no circumstances. In a professional world and especially among those disciples of Andy Reid everything is allowed and possible except making another professional look like a ..... (you know what). And like Frank Zappa RIP once wrote - "if anything bad ever happens to your eyesAs the result of some sort of conflict with anyone named Nanook The only way you can get it fixed upIs to go trudging across the tundra mile after mileTrudging across the tundra right down to the parish of St. Alfonzo". Well, I wonder if a rookie coach Stefanski knows where the parish of St. Alfonzo is. As he should since he tried to fake the punt in his first game in the League against the Super Bowl winning John Harbaugh - the disciple of Andy Reid. And he did it on the first opportunity he had without needing it (fake punt). I mean, if you need points bad at the end of the game or as some sort of strategical move in the game, or, if you're Mike Tomlin and you want to spice up the game, then yes. Go for it. But, coming in the first game to home of John Harbaugh and try to mess with him in his kitchen much before anything - that is a statement move and that failed statement move cost Stefanski a game in a blowout fashion. Yes. He gained the team's attention for the games to come so that tactical failure proved as strategic victory in a long run. But, in AFC North,  the revenges on lost games this season when home advantages hardly matter, do not happen. but failed insult to Harbaugh, more so after that. The question is will the Ravens cover the -3 line? The answer is within the post: if not that insult factor - I would be very careful with assuming that the Ravens will only win because they are stronger and the need a win... on Holiest of the Holiest - Monday Night Football, but, Vegas somehow manipulated the public opinion making people to believe the Browns of this season are able to beat the Ravens and as I write this post the public is fairly divided in number of the bets as well as in money invested so I see no reason to not to support the ravens and go with them all the way here. But, again, be careful not to take me as more than someone who handicaps the battery of the games hoping to win the most. Law of the probabilities. Please remember. One game at a time and no big wagers. Normal, average bet. That is all.  Ravens -3 I think most of the people do not really your explanations about the mechanics behind the reason of your pick - like myself - and rather have the ready fish on the plater than go and learn how to fish. I know the first thing I do is placing the bet and then promising myself to read what you wrote after the game hoping it will win whether I will read it or not. But, I thing that is wrong and you are trying to teach us how to handicap. One way or another,I have a suggestion. Decode your write up and force us to read. Like this: all the bold letters. Or number them. rav -3

    I think most of the people do not really your explanations about the mechanics behind the reason of your pick - like myself - and rather have the ready fish on the plater than go and learn how to fish. Or number them. rav -3

    Are you fcking serious? This guy just wrote out a huge motivational angle for FREE with his pick at the end (in his own thread with numerous winners) and you want to complain about it? You are useless. Get out of this thread.

    To OP, I never thought about this angle (and some of your angles), very impressive. Sometimes I think we all get lost in numbers and analytics, when in reality all of these players and coaches are humans and have emotions, work ethics and egos.

And like Frank Zappa RIP once wrote - "if anything bad ever happens to your eyesAs the result of some sort of conflict with anyone named NanookThe only way you can get it fixed upIs to go trudging across the tundra mile after mileTrudging across the tundra right down to the parish of St. The Steelers beat the Ravens twice and the Brons beat the Bengals twice and they will lose to the Ravens twice. It would most probably happen without that attempted but failed insult to Harbaugh, more so after that.

    It's not a script. It's perception. I've been capping this way for years but I just never got a good grasp of the adaptation portion of it.

    @race444

     Let's say that a game without any viable angle should not be on the board as in that case it qualifies into a 50/50 categorypeace_5

    p.s. - please do not mind Mick960. Basically, you both meant good and there is no reason to fight. Your continued positive contribution to this thread is most welcomepeace_5
