The Bengals entered the season with high hopes after an encouraging 2001 finish. But despite some noteworthy individual performances, the team sunk to the worst record (2-14) in franchise history. The team was hit hard by injuries, losing the league's second-highest number of games by starters. The offense got off to a very slow start with free agent signee Gus Frerotte at QB, and Cincinnati was outscored 119-23 in the first four games. The offense perked up noticeably after 2001 starter, Jon Kitna, returned to the No. 1 QB role. The Bengals set a team record for pass completions (350). But the team was 0-7 before getting a win at Houston. The defense was inconsistent, and with nine touchdowns allowed on special teams or by the offense, the Bengals as a team allowed the second-most points (456) in club history. On Dec. 30, it was announced that head coach Dick LeBeau would not be retained for 2003.

Interesting situational stat which may keep some folks from getting too excited about the Cowboys this week.
Home favorites of 6 or more are 27-7 ATS (79%) when playing the game before their bye week since 2002.

FWIW, I Love where your heads at and to some extent, I agree with you. Im not surprised that "most" responses dislike your Dallas play (i am surprised at all the "hate responses" though!)
.... The ML Bet will definitely take some Balls, but Im beginning to strongly "like" the +8... Youre 100% right about saying Dallas "finally has some value", as the books have been showing them far too much respect, despite their awful start, and now the books finally have them dogged by "more than a TD"... as you said, GB coming off that big Win against the NYJ and the Boys just looking completely hopeless against pretty much anyone... Romo out, Kitna in... I can understand why people are leary about taking Dallas, but a few people mentioned that Dallas has "quit" or has "given up on their season"... While they may have appeared to "give up" against the Jags, they WILL NOT "quit" infront of a SNF crowd! Jerry Jones is faaaar too proud to allow his team to "Give up" infront of the entire Nation!! Dallas comes to play HARD on Sunday Night!! Im not saying i "love" the pick or that im "all over" Dallas, but they WILL NOT "quit" on SNF!!!
GL TRAIN69... I hope our Picks match-up this Week!!! ![]()

lol..i dont have the stats on me but if ur going to bring up crap then why not kitna more recent record..?.. isnt kitna something like no wins in his last 20 starts..?? afterall he was involved in the lions 0-16 season a few years back!
those stats u bring up have nothing to do with the game.
just like the winner of the coin toss won every MNF game to date well now its 7-1..theres a trend for everything!
LMAO

if thats the case it may be simple the books want a more action on g.b because it was nearly split. Sunday night games are drama and i dont think the girls being blown out of the water is very compelling, Romo will be back next week plus this is a rivalry match g.b is paying for top of the NFC north how bout an nailbiter
