squares bet on sunday mornings early money is usually smart money when the line moves to certain number KEY numbers you will see more money movement BTW most of us on these sites are squares hell  more than half the touts last week had GB as GOY and  another thing this ML line is fishy the chargers were +14 and +550 on the ML.............the giants(opening line) +14 +400 something to think about

enough of this x-files bullshit about the moneyline being short in the superbowl, listen very very carefully....

the +14 is inflated for the superbowl, if this was the regular season it wouldve been +12 or +11

the +400 is adjusted for the superbowl, it isnt as much plus money that you'd get if this was a regular season game.

riddle me this, would +11.5 and a +450 to +500 moneyline sound about right?

here's some secret bonus information that i've said to many times, the over under is or was knocked higher a couple digits just cause it was the superbowl too. that seems to have corrected itself too.

Will hit hard on NE if line goes down to 10 or 9.5, but will take NGY if line goes aobve 14
For now, sure bet is Under 54.

I did check back not long ago and I stand corrected... you made valid points... And you're right.. Bet with your wallet, not with your heart... I've preached the same. The Pats haven't blown anyone out since Pitt...  The Pats have yet to see Ahmad Bradshaw! key factor right there... The layoff won't be a factor.. Coughlin will have them ready.. they're not just happy to be there. I expect everyone to be all over the Pats... how could you not? But with this Giants team right now, they're meshing on all cylinders... young players rising to the occasion..making plays..  No one is giving the Giants a chance to win and that's fine.. No one gave them a shot against Dallas or GB.. Eli proving everyone wrong that he can't play in subzero temps.. he has arrived. I know I'm bit biased here, but getting 11/12 pts is a joke here.. consider the fact that the Pats haven't covered a DD spread in sometime and their D is suspect... I know, so is the Giants D.. but considering the Giants run.. I'm all over the +pts...and thats going with my wallet.. They didn't just backpedal into the SB...you can't do that.. And it wasn't long ago that the Giants put up 35 pts against them....hung with them stride for stride.. The Giants D will definitely have to step up more than the last wk.. tough task definitely. How the Giants are playing right now, how can you not take the pts? Unless you see them coming into the game with the mindset that they're just "happy to be there".. GL

If the NFL plays out like it normally does, NE crushes the Giants and everyone says at the end what an easy bet why was I stupid enough to put my money on ELi he doesn't even deserve to be there.
 
IF NE stops the run forces Eli to throw look for turnovers. 
 
Seems to me NE last few games where they couldn't cover the spread sets up the SB nicely with people having no faith in them covering large spreads.

Give me a break.  When I came into work today and told a few others what the line was (and these are guys who watch sports.....maybe lay a bet once in a blue moon).  Everyone I talked to was shocked that the line opened that high.  I also got 2 e-mails from guys saying they were all over the Giants at the opening line. 
 
The opening line was bad enough that sharper folks and even plenty of squares were smart enough to figure it out.

I really hate this super bowl line because my system would have told me to pick giants but when public opinion is this high, I tend to go the other way because I feel this is an intangible that cannot be figured in. 
 
I have noticed throughout the season that when there is DD public dog, the fave usually covers the number.  To make matters even more confusing, Jax covered the number vs the Pats two weeks ago when the public seemed to be all over NE.

i am glad to see this getting some insight, and i think brady is wearing the cast because the Cialis he took affected his "other" leg and now he has an erction for more than 4 hours in the wrong area......

good post moosehunter....i agree, lots of giants money coming in from fans blowing their load based on the GB game.....i totally agree 2 weeks off favors NE and this time around the Giants are playing for something other then for the hell of it in the last game of the season.....I see Brady having another huge day against these guys, weather shouldn't be a factor....fact that NE has only covered 1/3 SB's and hasnt covered since the Pitt game might have something to do with it too....NE was favored by 14 in NJ, might have opened higher and now on a neutral 4 weeks later its 3 pts less, doesnt make much sense.....I see the Pats in the 40's as well and them boat racing the G-men rather easily....I wouldnt think it will dip below 10 but i didnt think it would hit 11 this fast either  GL
