I agree- Houston is playing well and if Indy didn&#x27;t settle for all those fg&#x27;s last week the total would be much higher.  GL

Don&#x27;t forget Owen Daniels is out. Also the backup is out. Cant remember his name. So they are relying on Joel Dressen who is not much on the offensive side as far as tight ends go.

Yeah the over seems really strong here. I may go LARGE on teasing Houston and the Over. Houston &#x2B;17 and over 42 seems like a really strong bet.

Texans seemed to do fine without Owen and without Slaton playing.  i think they have a chance of a upset in this shootout. but  Thanks for insight

Houston under 4 out of last 5 games. They have locked down on D, especially against the run. They've reduced their run defense from 205 yards a game to 113.3. They lead the league in forcing three-and-outs with 35. They've forced 14 turnovers, ranking fifth in the NFL. They have drafted top defensive guys the last 4 years, and it's finally paying off.

Indy leads the league in points allowed at 16/gm. Freeney and mathis should get pressure on Stump the Schaub on obvious passing downs. Both teams cover kicks well. Both teams will play ball control to keep the other off the field. Schaub lost his tight end, the best in the league. Indy can bracket Andre Johnson and make them very one dimensional. Houston goes into the bye next week, so expect an all out effort from them. Colts have Pats, @Ravens, @Texans following so maybe a little look ahead factor?

Texans + points is a safe pick, however, with all of the facts I also like the game to go under 48.

I think this game goes way over 48. #1 and #3 passing offense's will put up a lot of points. Manning always does well against the Texans and he will not disapoint. Would feel more comfortable taking the Colts with the points than the Texans, because I think Dallas Clark could have a career day in this one. But I think the Over is the best play. BOL

#1 and #3 passing O is what squares look at and betting the over in this contest is a square pick. Why is Dallas Clark going to have a career day? Because you "feel" it? Manning and the Colts have feasted on sub par competition (only 1 team above .500 right now and that's the Cards who are 4-3). Manning went for 347 YP last week and the only touchdown scored was on a halfback pass so passing doesn't necessarily meaning scoring. Houston lost Daniels for the year and his absence can't be understated. He converted 28 first downs and 5 TDs, both more than his counterpart Andre Johnson. The Colts can key in on Johnson and force Schaub to look elsewhere, but there is no where else to throw. Steve Slaton has the next most catches at 29 and his confidence has got to be shaken after last weeks performance. Both teams have studs on defense that get overlooked because of the passing numbers. Expect a tight game, something like 24-21 or 21-17 type game.

I think its either the over or no play as far as the total. It is set high at 48 but I just couldn't take the under. I'm not one for playing a lot of totals but upon looking for a 4th game for my 13pter this week. I chose the over 35 in this game.

For me it was either Miami plus 23.5 or the over 35 in this game, I chose the over here as I think it would be hard to miss the over 35 in this game but it could happen.

Sky- Thanks for calling me a square. I watch a lot of football, and Vernon Davis had 3 TD&#x27;s on the same play a couple of weeks ago and I&#x27;m sure Manning will have Dallas exploiting the holes in the Texans secondary. I don&#x27;t know how you can say that is a bad play when the Manning is having one of his best years passing and the Colts are clearly going to put up a lot of points in this one. The Texans have been doing well last few week&#x27;s offensively and should put up at least 21 points in this one. a 28-21 puts it over 48. You said you expect a 24-21 type of game, well if you only think that a game will go under by only 3 points then you should make sure Peyton Manning isn&#x27;t playing. Me and my square analysis have made me a pretty penny over the years.

Something doesn't make sense. Texans will have plenty of backers, as will Indy (because they are Indy).

Texans have played....SF (almost blew it), Buffalo Bills (offensively retarded team) recently. Now they play INDY before going into BYE WEEK.

I think Indy wins this game for sure. I am not sure by how much, but I like the over as well.

Texans should be good for at least 21, while the Colts will score virtually at will and score at least 31.

It is a well known fact that squares like to bet the over on games, as well as favorites. Also, with two top QB's in the mix, "Joe Public" will look at this game and assume a back and forth score fest. You must delve deeper than that, however, to determine what type of contest this will be.

As I said, the Colts lead the league in points allowed. I said 16/gm but it's actually 13/game. Indy 5th in NFL in sacks. The Texans have really locked down on D the last 5 games after a putrid start defensively. They lead the league in 3 and outs!!!The last draft, the top pick was Brian Cushing (absolute gem, already 2 time AFC defensive POW). 2007 top pick was Amobi Okoye. 2006 #1 overall pick Mario Williams. This means they are building their team around defense. The Colts top pick, Donald Brown, is not 100% and it is showing. Manning is carrying the load due to the ineptitude in the running game (30th in NFL).

Divisional games are often tighter because of the importance of the game, and tight games tend to be lower scoring. 28-21 would send it over by 1 and you think my score is bad because its off by 3. This will be a bend but don't break type of game, with the QB's possibly getting the yards, but settling for FGs.
