    Belichick without Brady still  I'm seeing this BS

    This is what the Patriot schedule looked like every year with the record of teams Pats played 81 wins 175 loses.

    Scott Poili drafted the talent he put the best team together In a garbage league .

    Patriots had 3 bottom. feeders in division for almost 20 years  a bye week and two home games every year the fact they only won 6 and it could have easily been 4  was actually pathetic but the media makes it out to be something great.

    Have Belichick stay with the Jets instead of going to the Patriots and let him have Brady as his QB both these frauds would have won nothing.

    No one would be thinking about them or remembering them, both would be long gone forgotten out of football.

    @ I agree completely with you.  Tomlin has been the Steelers coach for 18 yrs and still doesn’t know how to properly use timeouts in any scenario, he let 45 seconds run off the clock to save 1 timeout.  I could sit here for 2 hrs and go on and on about his screw-ups but in his defense there are some dumb coaches making inexplicable decisions.

    @Silverstones

    Is Tom Brady your favorite football color commentary guy in the booth? bigsmile He will be doing the game in Baltimore this week. Give you a heads up so you can turn off the volume. reallyhappy

    My favorite broadcasters were Ray Scott (man, what a voice), Hank Stram (radio), Dick Enberg and Merlin Olsen, the first Monday night crew (Meredith, Gifford, and Cosell). an_speak

    @Silverstones

     Scott Poili drafted the talent he put the best team together In a garbage league .

    "He and Belichick split the duties usually held by a general manager on most other NFL teams, though Belichick had the final say"

    He was certainly part of NE success, but you cannot make it out that he is a great Exec.  They kept winning well after he left and all of the players from his time were gone -- except Brady.

    He got fired in KC and basically got run out of ATL.

    He and Belichick should both still be paying royalties to Brady.

    Yes, if they had all gone to NYJ instead -- Brady would have made them winners there as well.

    Patriots had 3 bottom. feeders in division for almost 20 years  a bye week and two home games every year the fact they only won 6 and it could have easily been 4  was actually pathetic but the media makes it out to be something great.

    The division thing has long been debunked and addressed before.  NE made them worse.  Look at NE record against outside teams, etc., etc.

    It could easily have been 8.  One bad throw in Conference Championship and two other times the defense could not hold a lead, etc. That is the way things go.  Never forget Brady came off the field twice with the lead in the SB and told the defense to stop them one time and they would never see the ball again.  But their 'great' defense could not do it when it mattered the most.

    No one would be thinking about them or remembering them, both would be long gone forgotten out of football.

    I do not know about that.  Belichick was already recognized as a sharp football mind, especially on defense.  Brady was going to win no matter where he went.

    Maybe so.  But Allen may be the reason they do not get it done.  He is very exciting to watch and has made great improvements.

    But, I agree.  I do not think McDermott gets enough credit because of Allen.

     Yea Jack Buck and Hank Stram the best my favorite.

    Brady looks as goofy as ever I don't think he'll age well.

    The only color guy I don't mute is Troy Aikman.

    @Raiders22

    You say Brady was going to win no mater where he went to ? Put him on the Denver team Drew Lock went to as a rookie Brady didnt play as a rookie but 2nd year Brady wouldn't have won a single game on that team and as a 6th round pick wouldn't have got a 2nd look and you wouldn't remember who he was.

    The Patriots never won anything because of QB play they were the better team in a garbage league.

    Brady won more post season games throwing 3 INTs more than any other QB in the history of the game.

    Brady Tampa SB year throws 3 INTs on  3 consecutive series in the 2nd half of NFC championship game @ Green bay this usually loses a game for a team 98.9 % of the time

    Brady sucked but again and again he had that horse shoe up his  A S S .

    Mahomes makes plays to win championships its all because of him.

    Brady was just lucky to have so many chances to play in these 3 game championships he was outplayed in most all of them but the team still won. He was never the reason they won anything.

    Brady makes a good story line and fairy tail for the stupid media and the public buys in .

    I was going to say Brady's the most overrated player in the history of sports but its not enough .Brady's the most overrated person in the history of the world.

    We'll give the honor of the most overrated person in sports history to Bill Belichick who's always been the same Retard they bounced out of Cleveland.

    @jimmycoonan

    That Buffalo defense has been gashed for 44 and 42 points in successive weeks. Do you think that is sustainable in the playoffs? They are like the old Dan Fouts San Diego Chargers in that they would score 40 and give up 40. Exciting to watch that kind of offensive explosion but few of those high scoring teams win on center stage.

    Don Meredith was so funny and say things like, 'The quarterback threw the ball to the defensive back because he ran a better route than the receiver.' bigsmile

    I would agree with the Vikings Coach as COY;

    I find it stunning that throughout this entire thread Matt LeFleur of Green Bay is never mentioned;  has a .665 winning percentage as he just topped 100 games coached, leads the youngest team in the league and engineered a total rebuild a year and half ago transitioning from Rodgers to Love, new Defensive Coordinator with a completely new scheme…….he is the Rodney Dangerfield of NFL Coaches,

    @Silverstones

     The Patriots never won anything because of QB play they were the better team in a garbage league.

    Just about any team needs a good QB to help win games through the season nowadays.  By the logic any replacement could have done what he did.

    That just doesn't make sense.

    Brady Tampa SB year throws 3 INTs on  3 consecutive series in the 2nd half of NFC championship game @ Green bay this usually loses a game for a team 98.9 % of the time

    This I have broken down elsewhere as well.  Sure, on 2 the WR ran the wrong route, etc.  This, if they were all Brady's fault, only shows that he overcomes mistakes better than other QBs.

    Brady sucked but again and again he had that horse shoe up his  A S S .

    No resonable person agrees with a take like this.  Time and time again with less talent at key positions than others -- that is not luck.

    Too many efficiency numbers simply dispel this as folks that just did not like the guy.  I have done a whole thread on his numbers.

    That year in and year out is more than blind luck.

    I get that folks always hate success by other teams than theirs -- but no way that type of success can be put down to luck and the team always carrying him.

    I think a better choice in '19 - '21 but when a coach has an all-time great QB -- the coach does not get enough credit.

    But not so much this year, as they are in 3rd in the division, etc.

    But, I agree, he does not get his respect.

    Rich Eisen and the mainstream sports' media would be very proud of the job that they have done on your media created opinion of Mike Tomlin. You are a fine example of a propagandized sports' fan.

    If they repeat the lie long enough, you will believe it. A modernized trick from the propaganda ministry of Goebbels.
    Congratulations an_clap PS I pointed out the errors you made in your game numbers on Belichick and you persist in stating that they are correct, once again congratulations and good job!!! an_clap

    @Buffalobob89074

     This 82-98 number includes Belichick's time in Cleveland. BB took over a loser franchise in Cleveland and led them to the playoffs without a decent QB. He rebuilt their D into a fine unit.

    Without Brady in New England Belichick's record is 47-57.

    These numbers?  Yes, they included the time in Cleveland WITHOUT Brady.

    My point is still the same -- he has a losing record without Brady.  Knoll has a losing record without Bradshaw.

    Tomlin has a winning record without Big Ben.

    Not sure what Eisen has said exactly?

    But again, as I pointed out twice now, the media has been calling for his firing for years now.  The local and national media have been questioning at the beginning of each year and the end of each year about his job security.

     If they repeat the lie long enough, you will believe it.

    What is the lie they are repeating?  And who is repeating it?

    The fact that Tomlin, repeatedly, outperforms the expectations for the team every year has to give him dome credit for being good at his job.

    When their over/under this year was 7.5 wins and they win more -- that has to be somewhat credible for Tomlin.

    He has done that year in and year out.

    I am far from a Steeler or Patriot fan.  But you have to respect the jobs these guys have done.
