NYG +34U@ SF I hate being forced to make plays this early in the week but this line may come down off 3 hell it's already costing me 15% earlier this morning but feel it may get more expensive or come off 3. This is pure value considering I had figured this game at a pk to +1 max. Anyway writeup to follow just wanted to post early so I don't get 100 questions where I got the +3 from.....what a weekend....time to sleep for 3 days!!

So you're saying the giants are a 4-5 point better team than the niners? Home field advantage is typically worth 5 points in the nfl playoffs. And you're telling me that you believe the giants, with their 9-7 record, are now a 5 point better team than the 13-3 niners. Interesting.

If you haven't learned yet that the regular season becomes less and less meaningful as the playoffs progress I'm not sure how to save you from yourself at this point. Capping games in the playoffs based on regular season records is costly. Do you not remember 4 short years ago?? Teams get hot, they get on a roll and reach heights they didn't reach in the regular season. What does the regular season at this point have anything to do with right now?? Nothing!! The Giants had a roller coaster year of highs and lows, battled some key injuries, had to shift offensive linemen around, Eli had to develop chemistry w/ his young receivers and in the middle of it all they needed to come together as a team which Coughlin deserves a ton of credit for. There is a special something this group has that other teams lack in that they have a core group of players that went on this very same ride 4 short years ago and remember it quite well. They have been playing playoff games for 5 weeks now and the confidence level is at an all time high and we all just witnessed yesterday what can happen when a hot team that's healthy w/ an us against the world mentality comes together as a team and executes on all levels and plays up to their ability where everyone is held accountable for their play. This team concept combined w/ their talent rich roster which is rolling w/ confidence it's no shock to me they are where they are playing in the NFC Cahmpionship game. I expect nothing short of a win over the 9ers this Sunday. San Fran is a young group that hasn't been through nearly what the Giants have been through. Harbaugh has done a remarkable job but they haven't had the adversity the Giants have had this season. We all just saw what the Giants did to the Packers yesterday did we not?? Did you watch the game?? Please tell me how the Packers 15-1 regular season vs the average 9-7 record of the Giants had anything to do with what happened on that field yesterday??
And I'm telling you that their regular season records have more to do with the line Sunday than it does with reality and who the better team is right now because the otherwise the Giants would be favored. I'm ecstatic getting any points in this game and I'll be happy to take them in the Superbowl as well when the AFC is again overvalued because the regular season is taken into consideration far too much.

Man, this is one of the best write ups I've seen Splooge. I'm a 49er fan but a money fan first. My hope is that the 49ers win 27 to 25 and I'd win two ways.

Bike-i am lucky enough to live in canada, gambling wise that is, to use the grandaddy of them all, pinny.
I bet mostly golf matchups, as with SOOO many other ex. pinny cannot be touched for fair odds, but i am stepping out from golf for a huge NYG +2.5 wager that i could not pass up. I had no choice.

Splooge, great record............why dont you play the ML on the Giants or do you think there is a possibility they lose but cover?
Thx PTB...I didn't initially play $ line when I got in +3 but recently played 1U +120 that i didn't get around to post yet. To answer your question do I think they lose but cover..... I think the Giants win the game. In a scenerio where I am wrong, they lose and it's close I can see it by a crazy number like 1 or 2 when you take into consideration what this field might play like Sunday night. This alone or coupled w/ possible in game weather can easily bring in botched long snaps on punts for safties, mishandled snaps from center coming out of own goalline, fumbles, missed extra points etc. all attributing to something way off. This is the type of game having 2, 5 and 9 in a box pool could be appealing!
