The Pistons haven't won a home playoff game since Chauncy Billups/Tayshaun Price/Rasheed and Rip beat the Celtics May 26, 2008. Since then, they've had 9 home playoff games and lost them all with 3 of those being last season's playoffs where they lost 3 home games to the Knicks by a combined 6 points! Orl may have turned a corner with their convincing home play-in win vs darling Hornets, but Orl also served up the last loss the Pistons have had a 107-123 loss 2 weeks ago in Orlando.
I'm not a big fav guy and for sure Magic can get hot but I'd hate to be on the wrong side if Pistons get going downhill and the crowd gets crazy, that's a hostile environment where things can get out of hand quickly. Teams that do 2 play-in games and win the 2nd convincingly to grab the 8-spot traditionally lose G1 avg margin of loss 23ppg or worse. The only team to buck that trend was 2 years ago when Pels as 8 seed lost G1 to OKC by 2pts, otherwise blowout city.
