Why do people even compare LeBron to Jordan? Jordan would have taken that last 3 at the end

Not only did LeBron miss the layup, he didn't even try to redeem himself by taking the last shot making Reeves take it instead. 

Jordan would never have done that.

Come on man this is a pathetic thread. I am not a huge fan of anyone or LeBron's politics and worldview. But every star after Jordan was compared to Jordan. Just like the players before Jordan. Jordan is the standard bearer for me as an overall basketball player. Kawhi Leonard reminds me of Jordan the way he played in all phases more than LeBron. You also are comparing different men. LeBron James has Karl Malone's body and size with the skillset of virtually every position on the court. I'm not a torch bearer for LeBron James but he is a magnificent basketball player who made teammates better. Much more than other All Stars. 

And the skills increase and evolution of the game comes. But the NBA peaked in the 1980s and 1990s as far as quality and entertainment. It became glorified one on one street ball by the time the 2000s arrived. Not the same. 

Yea James played for other franchises but that's different eras and how it goes. He was great in every respect. He wasn't a bitch and horrible teammate like Kobe Bryant whose father and agent forced his way into the league's premier franchise. If he were in New Jersey or Cleveland starting from nothing his ass would have been traded multiple times. James brought the Cavaliers to the playoffs and Finals and look at the rosters versus his contemporaries. I would not argue those who think he is the greatest all around player who would do well and be a desirable All Star to play with in any era. He did it all and was a very smart unselfish star who understood the team game at the same time.

Jordan is the standard for me always will be but James may well be better. I pick Jordan for personal subjective reasons but there is no validity to saying James is not the greatest.
