You cant even tell the truth on this website without people hating!

am not a "pro" by any stretch but I do take this seriously and do it purely for financial gain.

started exactly four years ago betting $100 a play max and made all the typical newb "square" mistakes. But all up to now I've made 55k (and change), which will go towards a deposit on our (me and my partner's) first house.

I've narrowed down the sports / competitions I bet to about 5.Not sure how long I'll keep going though, I really want to give it away because it eats up a lot of time, esp when you've also got your real profession to do five days a week.

The extra money it brings in is nice but you can't do it half assed and I'm just weighing up whether its worth the hours and the stress.

Hats off to ANYONE who does this stuff for a living.

C-NART... Truth is i work from home by myself. I sit at my PC and watch the games between 10am and 5pm. I study while the games are on and mainly only watch the last 5 minutes when it really matters.
I ask who is pro because any "GOOD" information is useful. Knowing who is pro and actually lives off there covers posts saves alot of time sifting thru all the lies and shit posted here...

I found this site 3 months back and i must say i get lonely at home working by myself so its always nice to bounce thoughts off smart people... A good mate is a part-time gambler and we talk everyday but other than that its kinda lonely sometimes mate...

I started playing online poker and built around 5k... Turned that into around 16k after first 14 months... Got a loan for 5k and rolled with a 20k account....

You can start with any bankroll but it will take a long time to get up to $500 per game... I personally dont work of a BANKROLL. I parlay alot and being a pro i lay ALOT of different bets across various sports (80% NBA - 10% Australian football -  10% other) so its hard to set a % limit on plays... Saying that, it is VERY important to rate your plays and not get crazy like MANY do on this site (which is why i started this thread to question peoples integrity....)

I found this site 3 months back and i must say i get lonely at home working by myself so its always nice to bounce thoughts off smart people... A good mate is a part-time gambler and we talk everyday but other than that its kinda lonely sometimes mate...

we should all start a thread to talk about games and ideas on games. im not a pro but id like to think i have some good insight. hopefully we wouldnt get a bunch of haters if we keep everything low key, and maybe some other good cappers will join in. ive noticed that late at night and early in the afternoon there can actually be some good conversations going, but from 5 to 11 et all hell breaks lose

Do you bet the domestic hoops (NBL, WNBL) ?

NBL has been tough this season but the WNBL is one of my favourites. Low profile league that coughs up a lot of lines with value

Its Lebron, Kobe, DWADE and for me...
There my Jack(Wade), King(LBJ) and Queen(Kobe..Im a laker haTING magic fan)

im not a pro poker player but i do know a lot of successful ones. the only way to make money online is to know the math behind all of your moves, so if you dont know it you need to read and find out. also reading people becomes less about facial movements and twitches and more about speed of play and bet sizing. hope this helps

Since they started 10 minute quarters i have left the NBL alone... Very rarely but i will say i think Perth -5.5 at $1.65 is a good one tonight.. only a small play..

I got Western Bulldogs -18.5 (AFL)
           Perth -5.5

    Parlayed for $200...

Plus a payout of $400 if the Dogs and Wildcats win H2H from todays 2h play in the Jazz/Suns game...

Someone who does this for a living and is good doesn't come here and talk about it.  It doesn't matter if someone bets $10 or 10k, if the picks are good they are good.  Anyone who comes here and tells you they bet 5k or 10k isn't a good gambler.  Guys who know what they are doing don't brag about the amount they wager or brag about the wins or bump their thread.  They quietly go about their business.
