What should someone know before getting into NBA betting?

I’ve followed basketball for a long time, but the betting side has more details than I expected. Moneyline and spread are pretty simple, but once you start looking at player props, team totals, first-half markets and quarter bets, there’s a lot more to understand. I was looking through the NBA section on Twinqo and one thing that stood out was how much lineup information can matter. A player being ruled out late can obviously change both the odds and the way you look at certain markets. For someone learning NBA betting, what would you focus on first? Moneyline and spread? Or is it worth learning totals and player props early as well?
