Great record, love the write ups. I agree with the play I believe Det can win by 6-10 points. I think the total is too low? What's your thoughts on the total? Good luck tonight

It's hard for me to judge the other lines because a lot of the teams' status' are fluctuating right now.  For example, I can't get a good beat on the Houston game because I don't know how they'll do once they're off their win streak and New Orleans is picking it up right now, or so it seems.  I need some more evidence that the Hornets are back in rhythm.  The Wizards game is tough because Gilbert is coming back, the Toronto line is ridiculous and I have no idea what to think, I think the Philly line is very sharp, and the rest of the games have at least one team competing that is very inconsistent and difficult to trust with my money on or against them.  The only game I could really get a beat on was this Detroit game.  To answer your question, it's hard to tell if the lines are off or not on a lot of the games, for me at least.  This is why I only pick one game or sometimes no games each night... its tough to get a beat on most of the games in the NBA

Surprisingly, I think the Rockets will continue to do fine now that their win streak is over. I watched the Battier and McGrady interviews after the game last night, and surprisingly they both seemed to be quite loose and relaxed. I think this loss will roll off their shoulders and they will continue to go out each and every night and perform hard.  That is what I like about this team, they do little things that not a lot of NBA teams do, like playing help side defense and diving for loose balls.  They have been in F-It mode since Yao went down, and they are out to prove everyone wrong, and I know McGrady wants this bad, he is sick of hearing about how he cant cut it in the playoffs!

Golferman i have been burnt by totals all year. This is what my totals look like at the end of the night. Thats no shit. I told KhamerKid earlier today that these linesmakers are like psychics. They are way to close at the end of the night. Yes the over does look good and will probably hit since I won't play it. I am trying to stick to spreads. I have went 6-0 this week since laying off totals.Over the last 2 weeks totals cost me 4k. I am not a big time bettor like some are on this forum but when you play 220-440 a game and start losing on totals like I did 4k creeps up and bites you before you know it. I am sticking to your advice and lawstyles advice and just playing Detroit. I know jink is saying be careful and he does have a point but at a pickem it can go either way and will take the better team in this one. If LB has a off night its all over for the 1 man team.

I don't really understand what you're saying your reasoning is for taking Cleveland.  This is definitely not a trap, or a "fishy line".  It's just a weak line.  But again, I don't see why you think Cleveland will win.  Is "they have LB and he will be ready to play tonight" all you've got going for the Cavs side?

Regardless, thanks for the input.  At least one of us will win...

I agree completely man.  I'll be looking to exploit that... the public doesn't give Houston enough credit.  I'm just going to lay off the game tonight though

Its just a gut play, and yes LB is my only reason for the Cavs winning tonight, do the books want to lay a weak line just for one player? Well like you say, one of us will win BOL

even tho houston lost last night its not like they lost to a bad team. i think a resonabile line would be 2.5-3 some where in that range but 5.5.. just my opinion. denver and phi is just to close to call that one. i figure if i played this one i would have to take denver after last night. but i do like your det play i am on that one as well...

I gotta tell you law I really like your threads. They are informative, and you can get a real discussion going in here without all the touting, and bickering that goes on in most of these threads.  On another note, let me ask you what your take is on the Suns? I gotta admit, I really like them come playoff time.  They really seem to be gelling as a team lately, and what I think makes them really dangerous, is for once, they are now beginning to win games on the defensive end of the court.

I think the Suns are coming together as well.  They've had a nice couple wins lately and I think the Shaq deal may not have been so bad.  The problem with betting them is that the public loves them and Vegas knows it, so they inflate the lines.  Still, if we can pick our spots with them they definitely aren't a bad team to bet on.  Like you said, they are playing better defense now, and that is key ATS especially.

I'd take the Nets if I had to bet that game.  I'm not sure about the Pacer/Bobcats game...

wow, yea take the Pistons, like I said Vegas was off on this one from the beginning.  Bodog has the pistons as favorites and sportsbook still has them a PK.  Someone must be pounding the Cavs on Pinnacle.  Besides, the line moved a point pretty quickly last night in favor of the Cavs, so the early sharp money was on the Pistons.  Don't let it phase you
