I'll give some basic trends below for gm1 of the Finals

to win 1u unless noted

Both databases go back to the 2002 season

Home team gm1: 19-4 SU/18-5 ATS 8-15 O/U (play SAS)

Home team gm1 w/rest disadvantage: 11-1 SU/10-2 ATS 6-6 O/U (play SAS)

Off a gm7 series vs a team off a sweep gm1 3-14 SU/4-13 ATS (play NY)

Last ten years in the Finals the team that covers wins, the spread has only mattered 4 times and 2 of those pushes. So if you like the dog play the money line too throughout the series.

Thanks for sharing. I’ve noticed over the years the spread rarely comes into play. If you like the dog play the ML. If you like the fav, don’t buy points.
