Harden actually had elite scoring talent in his prime and had the playmaker court vision ability to raise his teammates levels with excellent passing skills.

Maxey is just another common era season stat video game padder. Similar to a Derozan or John Wall type player who were always happy to cash their paychecks win or lose.

Was Harden ever top 5 in steals and points in the same season?

You probably don't even remember Harden being an MVP or going to finals with 2 different teams or being a bench player after being 3 overall (Maxey starting after being pick 21). Harden has actually done more than Maxey and most players in the league even good ones he's just a careless slob and not in his prime any more. Maxey is a much better defender and much better effort guy.

They're not even remotely similar guards with totally different paths and accomplishments. Maxey would probably be an MVP top 3 or 4 vote getter if he played for OKC instead of SGA.
